This year I've seen him once in Leeds, once in London, and once in York. Where have you seen him this year? Recently brought tickets for his gig at Wembley! :-D Off the top of my head, my favourite songs are: Song for Eva Mae, Redemption, Rivers, Journey of the Magi, The Next Round, and Smiling At Strangers On Trains. Those are my favourites and I could write an essay on each one as to why! Of course, I love all of the songs you mentioned as well. I seem to like everything that he writes, and I'm really excited for "The Second Three Years" as the first is one of my favourite albums of his! Sorry about the slow reply. I've had a weekend away :-) x

Haha, that's completely normal by my standards. I must have seen him 6 or 7 times, but I only discovered him a year ago to the day... ish! Favourite song by him? :-) x

aw cmon poetry isn't THAT bad! but agreed, it is much better than that! i absolutely love Redemption, i was reading the lyrics along to the album (did you get the actual cd by the way? if you didn't, it's got like linear notes added next to the lyrics and everything, very cool) and it hit me very hard. i reckon it could easily become my favourite track of his in the next few months. that and i am disappeared make the album for me, although the rest is very good for the most part, can't really get into english curse - as much as i like frank, a capella just isn't his thing ;) x

Definitely go to 2000 Trees this year! It's the friendliest festival you'll ever attend, ha! I got crowd surfed about 6 times for 65daysofstatic and the security just let me stay in front of the barrier with my friends camera taking pictures of the band up close. 'Twas ace! :] I get to see Mogwai soon too! One day after my birthday in Manchester. Couldn't ask for a better birthday gig!

Jesus! And I thought I went to a lot of gigs.. ha! After looking at your top artist you should definitely take a look at a festival called 2000 Trees Festival. It's probably the best festival I've ever been to and Frank Turner plays there nearly ever year because he's like best friends with the organizers! And a few of your top artists played there last year. And yea, Anathema are absolutely brilliant. They've been my favourite band for a long time now! I'd definitely recommend And So I Watch You From Afar if you like really super duper rocky post-rock! Let me know what you think. :)

jesus, you must be the biggest fan in the world if you'd consider travelling up to Aberdeen if he doesn't play anywhere else.. (that's like waaaaaay up north.) Sounds awesome, might do a little youtube search for videos in the next week or so! x
