I am technically a triple major of Creative Writing, English, and Philosophy. I just kind of want to to keep going to school (for my master's and hopefully a doctorate) until I can't get any more loans! Basically, I'm seeing how high I can get my debt figure to go up. It sounds like a wonderful plan to me. After that, I'll see how many things I have gotten published (haha) and maybe try to snag a job as a professor. I am content just focusing on learning right now. Things will fall into place. I haven't read nearly as much as I'd like, so I understand your "haven't read them yet" feeling. Such is life. I am looking to transfer out of state as well, just for the experience of getting out of Ohio. I do love winter though, and am looking somewhere far northeast or in NY or PA, the oddballs being North Carolina or Kentucky. I have an odd love for the south. I just like living. There are many places I'd like to go and see.

Hahhaa yeah it'd be a little difficult to get into it being drunk. I also typically don't mind reading textbooks - except for the one education class that I am in. But, I dropped my education degree. I strongly recommend Faulkner if you enjoy Joyce or Woolf or stream of consciousness. I haven't any of those whom you named! I do really want to read Seneca though. Haha! Frankenstein is wonderful. That is so rad you watched Garden State in class. I am also more or less of a pretentious ass, depending on the judge. I try not to be rude or anything. I am a freshman at Ashland, but I'm considering transferring for various reasons.

That is certainly fair and I honestly more or less agree with you in the fact that Eternal Sunshine is probably the better movie, yet I still like Science of Sleep more. It is difficult for sure to try to read for pleasure. It's pretty much my favorite thing to do and I know I struggle some days and weeks to make time for it, so I understand your pain haha. I mean my all-time favorite is Faulkner, but recently Hesse has creeped up the list. I love both Shelley's, Thoreau, a lot of Romanticism and Transcendentalism and a little post-modernism. Kooser is one of my more favorite contemporary poets. I would also rather see Broken Bells, and I am also broke haha!

you seem very intelligent to me, so as you said maybe it's just a problem of applying yourself. where are you going? and are you on break now? the two colleges i applied to in indiana are both private christian schools, i just kinda felt like i couldn't find a state school i really wanted to go to.. i didn't look too in depth though. btw, maybe texting would be faster than this last.fm mess.. max gave me your phone number so i'll text you soon.

that's kind of why I was dissuaded from going there, I really couldn't find a school nearby to compete with their academics but I decided that I am going to do well anywhere I go as long as I put in a lot of hard work, and I would rather go somewhere where I will fit in with the atmosphere better. I actually think being that challenged would be scary, I'm not sure how I'd do.
