Well, post-hardcore is a legit genre. A really good genre. If you are interested, go check out bands like Gospel, City of Caterpillar, Drive like jehu and At The Drive-in. 9GBO and deadman are one of those better bands I still listen to but my charts had so much stuff I don't care about at all. MUCC, D'espairsRay, the gazette, Moi Dix Mois and stuff like that dominated my overall charts too much. Oh, there are of course japanese bands that aren't a part of the visual kei scene I like. 凛として時雨 for example is a really tight band :)

Just like you, I prefer CoL to envy but nonetheless envy is terrific. Athough I'd say envy isn't as much post-metal as it is post-hardcore(genre faggotry, I know). I love the emotion of the music but the screams of envy's singer can get really monotonous. Need to check that Ahab out. On another note, finally got around to resetting my charts :D Took some bravery but I knew it was inevitable to get rid of all the japanese music I never listen to. Dir en grey is one of the only bands I regularly listen to anymore.

I only own xbox360 so no :| But if it's anything like Alastair Reynold's books, then I'd propably love it. What did you think of Rosetta's new album? I'd say it's a really good album, but it's nowhere near The Galilean Satellites(which I'd put in my top ten favorite albums). TGS really makes me feel the crushing emptiness of space and it's brutal coldness. ADOM on the other hand is just more like basic post-metal if you ask me.

Ah, I guess you are part of that 98%, lol. But, no worries. I respect everyone equally nonetheless. =] At least we can agree that Christianity, "KAWAAAAIIIIII ^____________^", Miley Cyrus, and Lady Gaga are bad things, lmao. Thankss, and no, my avatar is of Mikie Hara. Yuki Chikudate is lovely, though. She has a beautiful voice. Your username does sound familiar, but I'm not sure!

My friend had told me ages ago that they were good. As I was bored to death with my old music I just thought that I should give them a go. I listened to some Cult of Luna and Isis and before I knew it, I started listening to bands from the same genre. When I realised they were coming to my hometown, I was already addicted with them. And yeah, you really should check deadman out. Easily one of the best japanese band I know together with Dir en grey and 9GOATS BLACK OUT. There are few other japanese bands I'm interested in but I can pretty much count the good bands with the fingers of one hand :)

Ohh, heavens no! aha. I have a genuine love for asian culture, and don't have this unnatural and odd eye for all that. Well, I guess I do, but in a different way, or maybe I'd just like to think that. Y'know. :D Very nice that you have an eclectic group of friends! haha. Everyone who smokes weed around me is a goddamn idiot, but I'm glad to know there are people like you. I pretty much consider myself asian now, so you're in good company! haha. Ahh, of course! I still don't get how most guys don't like asians and how they like blondes. god no. D: Oh yeah, for sure. Music is a great, great bond people can share.

I'm doing really good :) Jesu has been on my "need to listen to" list for some time now. Need to check out those other bands too :) And yeah, Cult of Luna is right now probably my favorite band. Saw them live about a month ago and it was one huge mindgasm from beginning to end. I find it somewhat funny that we've been going almost into the same musical direction after japanese music(well, I still do listen to japanese music, but just those really good bands).

I didn't find it to be especially depressing, but very personal and realistic. The three main actors in Iwo Jima all gave amazing performances. haha, nice. :P Yeah, for sure! I love anime and music that happens to be from Asia (mostly Japan anyways). I was more hinting towards my taste in women, but it's all good bro. :D and no, I'm a white duder, but I've been around asians for the good majority of my life, and I feel most welcome with them. But being white certainly doesn't stop me from learning Japanese aha.

Sorry, I've been a bit busy... Anyways, rapidshare is pretty the worst download site of it's kind. Lately, it's been making me wait an hour or so. damn. Yeah, a total asian bias! That goes for more things than movies, too! haha. I'm horrible with director names, but I'll certainly check them out. Yessir!! I've kept it for the longest time, and I still love it. Probably because Iwo Jima is probably my favorite of last decade.

well, Greece is now one of European Union's poorest countries...Additionally, I must mention the political corruption, a huge problem faced during the last 3 decades...Unfortunately, no rich history or longliving culture seems to be helpful at all. How is the U.S.A doing? Which city do you live in?

Alice , the animation ? It depends . I have no idea :-) They are a little bit similar , but I prefer Empyrium to Agalloch ! Cold & rainy , while you're smoking . That sounds familiar :P

Thanks, I appreciate it! Yeah, I really like most of those films. Since you're interested in Kekexili, I suggest you check out City of Life and Death. Same director, and I've heard good word about it. Finding the movie itself is a bitch though. :O Haha, it's alright. I have an asian bias anyways.

In my opinion it's worth seeing that movie . All of Empyriums works are great . If I were you , I start with "Retrospective" . It has some of their best works , such as ; "05 - Where At Night The Wood Grouse Plays" , "Waldpoesie" , " Mourners" & . . . . If you are really interested in neofolk & Folk Metal , I recommend that you get all the albums .

"Melancholy , still my desire . . . " It's a work by meluseena . I found it on DeviantArt . It titled "Ode To Melancholy" . It's the name of one of Empyrium masterpieces . The man in this picture looks the same to the one of Burton's character , Victor , in an animation named "Corpse Bride" .

well you can perform art beside your other stuff, you don;t have to study in order to be an artist... just try, take the first step coz its always the most difficult one... then see what will be :) thanks for the thing about my photos, haha i will be glad to see it hanging on your walls :)) I love this song definitely, its one of my very fav.... man, i am totally in love with this song... there are times when i really have to listen to Klimt 1918... and yea, how nice is it to listen to it while watching the stars... so beautioful, specially if you have a pretty girl beside you and you tell her "I surrender all control for you, may this moment close to you be eternal" .. i love that part... :))

Have you ever listened to Between the Buried and Me? It's the only "metalcore" band that I can listen to(not counting their first two albums that were plain old boring metalcore). Their newer albums fall better under the progressive metal tag. I wholeheartedly recommend them.
