I have most of his stuff, there's a few things I'm missing like the grey goo scenario that I'd really like to get. I have a few mixes he's done that are around an hour long along with a lot of other tracks he didn't officially release.

Pretty good! A virus killed Firefox a while ago, but I just tried it again and it's working. It's nice to have a working adblock sometimes. Ehe, I think I got as much into Renard's music as I could a while ago and I haven't really lost interest.

I don't really spend much, mainly because I get most of my games cheap on Steam. Renard changed my view on music completely, before I found his music I used to dismiss everything that wasn't metal as crap. Now I'll listen to almost anything as long as it sounds good. (And even some stuff that doesn't)

Yeah, I don't know anyone off the internet who knows about Renard that I didn't introduce to him. Same with Homestuck (Except none of my friends can be bothered reading it) but maybe the hero of doom hoodie I ordered will catch the attention of some fans if there are any around.

Well, I'll give it a go. After DFD split, Todd and Jasan formed Polkadot Cadaver. Todd also worked on the Exotic sound of the Alter Boys album for the Alter Boys, you may already know this, as well as a current side project, Knives Out. I'm pretty sure there were a few others he was affiliated with that I haven't remembered. Estradasphere are affiliated with Orange Tulip Conspiracy, who sport a similar style (Their album can be found on Spotify if you have it). Duct Tape Mustache (A band who's toilet humour never ceases to make me laugh) split on the 4th of July .. early 2000s I think? Not sure, but they formed Tub Ring and the Ideamen. Admittedly I have more of a soft spot for the ideamen :D That's all I can remember for now. If I think of anymore I'll let you know! :)

Ah, listening to one of my favourite Polkadot Cadaver songs! Nice! Btw, meant to say, you know that after Duct Tape Mustache split they formed Tub Ring/Ideamen? You can really hear it in the vocals/musical style of those bands :) And I know the feeling, I don't think I've met anyone who has known of avant-garde rock/metal before I enlightened them. Some of my more prudish friends weren't taken by DFD's song concepts and lyrics XD

XD I'm loving Cake And Eat It Too, it's so insane 8D I don't listen to that much jazz or blues, but I like some of the things influenced by it (especially if it's swing), like Caravan Palace. I'd recommend them and Diablo Swing Orchestra, they're awesome. :D Er... I don't actually scrobble that much to show it but I listen to a ton of baroque music as well; I guess that's as old as my music taste will get right now XD

Good luck! I am sure you will be able to find some great stuff! Remember, with wind-up phonographs, you'll need to replace the steel needle after every play. Only play 78 rpm records from before 1939 atleast! Hope you find something good, glad to see more people my own age interested in this! :D

Hello! I'm not too sure about how to go about it in the UK... But, if your not inclined on looking in thrift stores, or estate sales, then the easiest (though possibly pricey) bet would be to visit Ebay.com Depending on the decade of music you enjoy (20s, 30s, 40s, or 50s), you may want differen't gramophones. If looking for 20s to 30s, I'd recommend a wind-up portable gramophone, probably an HMV 102 model. If your interested in later recordings, or all in general, then a 4-speed tube phonograph probably from the 50s would be adeqaute. Ebay would definitely be the fastest bet, but looking around in your local "junk" shops, or at sales, would be the cheapest way. Good luck, and hope I helped somewhat! :]
