Jazz? Not a big fan, but do check out Diana Krall, and as for classical, it is best to chronological, even though it's a big task. Start with Vivaldi, Handel, Bach. Then Mozart, Haydn; and you can probably stop at Beethoven if you want. Or if you are into Piano stuff, Liszt, Chopin.
