I went too, both were great live. Was disappointed about the whole straight up, "we don't do encores" thing, but still, Tame Impala was awesome.

Ahh, that's unfortunate. Hush Hush was... different. As an opening act, it was pretty much a whole striptease. Somewhat awesome...surprisingly. I'll be missing AIH too, damn work. Did you get to see Tame Impala and Yuck in May?

Well my favourite album is Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, ao I'd go with that or maybe Pisces Iscariot which is a b-sides album from the Gish and Siamese Dream eras (don't let the b-sides tag but you off, all the songs are studio produced and it's fantasic). MCIS might be a little bit heavy at times, I don't know if you like heavier stuff, but you will like a fair few of the softer songs I bet. It covers so much ground musically.

'atta girl. Such a great album, and Silverfuck is definitely one of the highlights. Epic song. I think the best part of the album is the Soma>Geek USA>Mayonaise part, which I call the holy trinity of SP. Don't worry, you've listened to them now, and you've got plenty of time to rectify the mistake of not listening to them before. ;)

haha that's true. they've always been fantasic musicians so I'm sure it would have been a great concert, the vocals I would have been a little worried about considering Thurston is 52 and Kim 58! you should definitely check out Dino Jr., and I can't recommend SP enough lol. I'm sure you've heard of the album Siamese Dream? Try that first.

oh that would have been awesome! how are sonic youth holding up live these days? that's true about Radiohead, that's one of the main reasons I like them so much. it's also the reason why the Pumpkins are my favourite band, because they have a song for pretty much every emotion you can feel. i was listening to Dinosaur Jr. last night, another band that has influenced Yuck. do you like them?

oh really? that's awesome! i hope they come down to Australia at some point this year because I'd love to see them. you can hear so many influences from bands i like on the album, sonic youth, yo la tegno, pavement, even a bit of the pumpkins in some songs. so are Radiohead your favourite band or what?
