Zoe Keating is awesome. I recommend Hildur Guðnadóttir's 'Without Sinking' if you like Keating.

o god I love steph dosen. lily for the spectre is such a beautiful album. Ive never heard remixes, that was a totally random CD buy one day, it was in a sale for like £3 or something.

Sorry, not a fan of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. Most modern prog I can't get behind, other than Neurosis, Isis, Weakling and the like.

I'll definitely check out Anais Mitchell. If you like CocoRosie you might like Soap&Skin (mai waifu :3)

Naw. Ms. Kahn is pretty unknown from where I live. But whether she's big or not, imma listen to her works. And I think you should too. Good music is good music anyway, popular or not. :D

Well I'm glad you agree about the others but Phantom Limb was alright I guess but I think their best album was is Terrifyer. I don't really approve of any goregrind because it's all just cheesy as fuck. This is probably the closest I'll listen to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IskqUuw0WPg

I got Blue Record a while ago, listened to it a few times but never really liked it much. I just downloaded First and Second though to see what it's like and I like it a looot more than Blue, so I guess I'd have to say I'm more of a fan of their earlier stuff

I occasionally enjoy non-metal stuff, it's just hard for me to find good rock n' roll or other shit that I like.

I don't have a specific song I like better than the rest, I just enjoy the atmosphere of his works. Also I'm still entry level in what concerns "electronic music", so I guess I will forget about this guy as soon as I find someone better

It's not about spending a year in the studio or commiting to their music.I believe every kind of music has its time and purpose (with a few exceptions like crunkcore).I really enjoy listening to CC when working out or when I want to get over a relaxed state (eg that feeling you have waking up).By that I don't mean "hurr durr relaxing is for pussies",it's just that sometimes youjust need something to get you pumped up.Well CC along with many other bands do this for me.I don't know about your friend but that's the way I feel about CC's music

I found my copy of The Lack in a bin at a radio station where I used to volunteer. I know that they are completely defunct and I'm not sure about *finding out more*. I suck at finding music from sources that aren't likely to give you viruses. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
