Hello __eNeRGy__! I saw that you have a pretty good music taste and thought that you'd maybe like our music as well. We are three girls from the forests of Sweden and we are going to record our very first album in Woodstock this summer! We would love if you checked out this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmTj6CzmAp4 ! Let us know what you think (it's much appreciated) by commenting the video, and also check out our cover of 'Kathy's Song' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44kjqZUC5PU that we got the chance to play live for Paul Simon! How you describe Coachella sounds similar to those who may attend Glastonbury or Isle of Wight: Basically festivals with some sort of hippie history behind them! I have to say the England v Sweeden game was probably one of the best games of the tournament so far! What can I say, i criticise the Liverpool players in the England squad then both Gerrard and Carroll link up for the first goal! Also, Big Andy definitely proved us wrong :p, He definitely played much better than I excepted him to! Hodgson’s decision to bring on Theo Walcott was a stroke of genius; he changed the game and won it for England. Just getting ready to watch the football just now, both games look like they could be good one’s, it will be interesting to see who goes through in the group of death! I just remembered Scotland Played the US in a friendly last month and lost 5-1, that’s how terrible we are! :( Also, Scottish football fans at the Maccabees gig?! How did you become aware of such?!

Glad to hear that you’re now a Maccabees fan! :) Yeah, when I’ve seen the Maccabees I’d definitely say Felix is the one who interacts with the crowd the most. Also, you can really tell he enjoys playing live as he always seems to be smiling away for the most part of the gig, so I can definitely see how you found him sweet! If you haven’t already I’d give their first album ‘Colour it in’ a listen, it includes ‘Toothpaste Kisses’ which is probably my favourite maccabees song! I never understand people who get really drunk at gigs! Why pay money to see a band then be so drunk that you may not even remember it?! I’m not too familiar with the brooklyn vegan but from checking it out it looks like the sort of thing that hipsters would be all over! Aww, that’s pretty unfortunate about the whole Pete thing. I guess I’m pretty lucky to live in Britain, as you’d imagine he tours here pretty regularly!! If you’re ever thinking of visiting the UK, you’d need to do it when Pete is touring!

Although I can’t really comment, I support Glasgow Rangers, who are on the verge of entering liquidation, which would mean 140 years of history down the drain :’( I’m absolutely gutted, but I guess we had it coming with reported debts of more than £120 million. We actually have a few Ameican players, including Maurice Edu and Carlos Bocanegra, it will be sad to see them go :( Going back to the Euros, I kind of want Ireland to do well, but they looked pretty poor against Croatia. I thought Russia had looked the strongest team of the tournament so far but the draw with Poland yesterday kind of changed my opinion. I have a bet on Germany to win the tournament and Mario Gomez to be the overall top goalscorer, so I’m kind of supporting the Germans, just in the hope that I can win some cash! :) The Germany v Holland game today should be good! p.s. sorry for the length of these shouts, I got a little carried away, also enjoy the Maccabees :)

I went to T in the Park last year and saw so many great bands (Arctic Monkeys, the Strokes, Pulp) but the chavs (not sure what the US equivalent of chavs is is, possibly white trash?!) put me off from going back. I think this is maybe just a problem with T in the Park, when I was at Leeds the people there were great. Have you been to any festivals in the US? I have a friend from Scotland who is touring the states over the summer for three months, he was just at Bonnaroo. From his comments on Facebook it sounds like he had a great weekend! Haha, don’t worry, rooting in Britain also means support, I think it may just be an Australian thing! What made you become a Liverpool fan?! Also, I’m not entirely sure how Liverpool managed to contribute six players to the England squad. The likes of Jordan Henderson and Andy Carroll are not the greatest and to think both these players combined cost Liverpool 50 million? It’s madness!!!...

I often hate seeing bands in large arenas, for example, I saw the Pixies in an arena in Glasgow, and although the band sounded great there was just no atmosphere. Like you say though, when bands as big as Radiohead decide to play smaller venues it’s often very difficult to get tickets. I also agree that ticketmaster does not help matters. In regards to hipsters, it could be argued that Radiohead are mainstream; surely this goes against the hipster ethos?! Yeah it was Leeds festival, I just went down for the one day but the lineup was insane, I managed to catch, the Cribs, the Maccabees, Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire and a reformed Libertines! Being such big fan of the Libs I still can’t believe I’ve seen them live, they really did pull it off and were on great form. In terms of festivals in Scotland, T in the Park is the biggest one, but these days it mainly full of chavs who just see it as an opportunity to get fucked up in a field on drink and drugs!...

Funny you say that, I kind of overlooked The Maccabees until I saw them live at a festival, I then went and downloaded their first album ‘Colour it in’ and absolutely loved it. I’ve now seen them live five times, including an in-store performance where I got to meet the band! Yeah, I’ve actually watched every game of Euro 2012 so far! Like a lot of people over here I’m a very big football/soccer fan. To be honest most Scottish football fans will often support the team that England is playing against! For example, tonight I was kind of hoping for the French to beat England! It’s really just a light-hearted rivalry we have with our neighbours England. I think we’re just jealous that England can reach a major football tournament, whereas Scotland haven’t been at one since 1998 :( Have you managed to watch many of the Euro 2012 matches? What country are you supporting?!

Radiohead last came to Scotland in 2008 playing in a large public park where a stage was built especially for the gig, I know a few people who went and all said it was one of the best gigs they’d ever been too. I totally regret not going, especially considering their decision to miss out Scotland in their current tour. I get the feeling it’s the bands decision to purposely limit the number of venues they play, I’m not entirely sure why though! To me it always seemed like quite a strange decision for Marr to join the Cribs, although, despite being old enough to be their Dad’s he never really looked much out of place! Haha, both times I’ve seen the Cribs I’ve definitely sang the riff to Another Number at various points during the gig! One of the times I saw them was down in Leeds, which is close their hometown of Wakefield. Between songs the crowd would chant ‘Wakefield’ over and over. Despite not being a local I couldn’t resist but to join in with the chant!

Also, I’ve seen the Cribs twice, both when Johnny Marr was a member. Although I appreciate that Johnny Marr is a highly talented and influential guitar player I thought he reduced the rawness of the Cribs, I was never really a massive fan of ‘Ignore the Ignorant’. I’m liking the new album though! :) I see you’re also going to the Maccabees. You seen them live before? What do you make of their new album?

Haha, ‘flailing’ describes his killer dance moves extremely well! :D I’ve still never seen Radiohead myself. They announced a British ‘tour’ a few months back, but I’d hardly call it a tour as their only playing in London and Manchester, with no dates in my homeland of Scotland :( Ticket prices were also on the expensive side, around the £60 mark which I’d say is roughly $100? When it comes to setlists, Radiohead are notorious for playing very little songs that were recorded pre-2000. It’s almost as if they’ve disowned Pablo Honey, the Bends and to a lesser extent ok Computer, which is kind of sad really, the Bends in particular is possibly my favourite Radiohead album and it would be great to see those songs played live.

I stayed up all night and snagged two 4-day passes! Totally worth it. Especially since the meet and greet is included (SQUEEEEE). Heads up though, they will update the Souls facebook page when the tickets go on sale and they aren't going to go up at midnight or anything. If you ask, they will say to expect the sale to start between midnight and noon haha.

Definitely a Chicagoan haha. I am pretty stoked that they are taking this on the road because I know they did the Home For The Holidays thing not too long ago. YOU HAVE TO GO. I think tickets go on sale sometime this week. I haven't had the opportunity to see them yet so this would be absolutely perfect!

Whaa really??? Sorry to hear that. The weather in here is great, it's January and it's really warm, almost all the snow is gone. Also I see, yeah, sometimes I feel like people are getting more and more sensitive about things ugh. Some people can't even take the most simple sarcasm enymore, not speaking of actual criticism.

hahaha, what a dork :P at least he didn't get the name wrong. I think that the whole show is pretty spinal tap... The big podiums that they rise up and down on are pretty crazy, and in Melbourne Matt came out wearing a glittery black suit complete with sci-fi alien goggles

It's funny, now everyone on tumblr is like "SIMON IS HOT" and I feel the urge to be all hipster-like and say "I thought he was hot before it was cool!!" lol. I don't know, I'm all for the creeps I guess xD. Also I know, I tried to make s friend watch it and she was like "wtf", but then I showed her some clips of Nathan on youtube and she's decided to give it a try haha.

O hi! I'm really really really sorry I didn't answer. But I got kinda messed up and then I was being lazy...idk, I'm kinda like a zombie these days. But, anyway, what made me write you right now...is one show that you recommended to me a LONG TIME AGO. The Misfits! I finally got to watch it, seen the last episode like 10 minutes ago. And man...let me tell you, from the first second Iwan Rheon appeared on the screen, I constantly fell in love with him! I mean seriously, the first second he was there and I'm like "he's awesome" xDDD. Anyway, that's it all. It just got me excited and I wanted to share it with somebody, haha. See ya ;)..
