I didn't know you were into that kinda stuff! Psychedelic Aliens are pretty okay if you're looking for Afro-funk tinged with a little bit of psychedelic garage flavor (check out "We're Laughing" and "Extraordinary Woman" for the heaviest psych-rock influence), but I'm more partial to Orchestre de Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou. Maybe not as psychedelic, but I totally get down to it.

Len was a whole new world for me when I first discovered his music... hopefully you'll find something like that as well. Actually, Songs from a Room is an album that hasn't particularly clicked with me and just yesterday I was thinking about giving it another spin.

Then again, Songs from a Room will do just fine as well...

Most of those Kanye scrobbles are the result of the popularity of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. I probably wouldn't have bothered listening to him quite yet had I not observed such intense hype for that album specifically. As it turns out, I love the album and have listened to it over and over and over. Hip hop might well be the parent genre I've played the most in recent months, but I am still a novice. I can't know whether my current appreciation for Kanye West will be sustained as I continue to listen to more or I'll begin to lose interest as more personal affections develop. I'd expect the former to be more likely though.
