I like it, but I think it'll take a while for me to appreciate it in its fullest. It bothers me that the production is so polished because what I always have admired about The Strokes is their rawness and now it seems like they've thrown out what made them special to appeal to a bigger fanbase. I still enjoy the album - there are some bright moments (especially Life Is Simple In The Moonlight), yet I feel like there is something lacking. It's catchy and creative, but this is not The Strokes I've come to love so much. What do you think of it?

I understand what you're saying for the most part, but I'm not quite sure I know what you mean by saying that his voice gets drowned out at times. For me, it seems more like the music is so lively and powerful that it sometimes overlaps the vocals, but his voice is still audible. I guess I see what you're saying. Anyway, I'm really loving it.

I absolutely LOVE it. I think it's incredible how Conor has been creating music since he was 13 and still continues to blow my mind years and years later. I love how different it is, and how strong the concept of the album is. It's so interesting, and I have a feeling I could listen to it over and over again and not get sick of it. What do you think of it?

Oh hell yeah, Surfer Blood is great! For some reason, my copy of Astrocoast says it's from 2009. If I had known it was made in 2010, that would have been in my top 25. I love Deerhunter, but I haven't given the music a fair enough chance to actually pick them. Need to listen more to the albums I have by them. And The Black Keys is awesome. Never really got into Best Coast, to be honest. I do love me some stoner pop though haha.
