Now I'm in love with Untilted as well. This damn band, man. It's like their music is different every time you listen to it.

And wouldn't you know it five minutes after I post that comment, I put on Draft 7.30 and I'm digging the hell out of it. This band messes with my head so hard lol.

I've come to the sad realization that Autechre peaked with Confield. Everything up to Confield was ace, but after that they just get so obsessed with form and experimentation that they lose their atmosphere and groove. Draft 7.30 and Untilted are their two worst albums. Quaristice and Oversteps are better but still lacking something. Who knows though, their music is so weird and hard to grasp I could switch back and think everything they've done is genius again.

Sick, dude. Sick. It's got some spooky ass moods to it that are unlike much anything else I've heard.

Dude, that list you sent me is amazing. That dude's got god taste. I love like every single thing he listed that I've tried so far.

That's so weird that you told me to look up So Weit Wie Noch Nie because I ended up doing it of my own accord and fell in love with it instantly and then I saw you recommend it to me. WEEEEIRD

2 Things. 1) New Justice album sucks. 2) The Field is the best live band I've ever seen.

Make No Mistake is me and my friend in NYC's hip hop project we've been working on. We've got 15 demos done that we're currently writing lyrics for. And yeah, The Field is going to be sweet. So I heard there's going to be a little addition to your family. Pretty COOL DUDE.

All I've heard was the track that Pitchfork posted. Haven't torn into the LP yet. I'm excited to see how it turned out.

Some Arena Rock for you! "Foxy Shazam - Self-Titled (2010)" It's magnificent! And they are from Cincinnati too so you have no choice but to love this album.

Sonnambula kicks some serious ass man. Also I have a rec for you. not sure if you're tired of all the Lone clones yet, but this guy's pretty badass: Lambent - Smoothness Extract

since you dig the Avalanches, let me give you this rec: Pizzicato Five - Bossa Nova

Yeah, I dig Ships and In Reverie but I find Facing New York to be completely unlistenable.

Another one to look out for is SeabastiAn - Total. It drops June 7, the same day as Gloss Drop and David Comes To Life. Best day of music so far in 2011!

Yeah, I have everything he's ever done under his known aliases (of which there are many). But I'm most into his Aphex Twin stuff including his EPs and compilations. Especially Chosen Lords, Classics, and Windowlicker. Hangable Auto Bulb is the best thing I've heard that he's released under AFX.

On the note of electronic music, I have two recommendations for you that I don't think you've heard yet (both are late 70's electronic releases): Giorgio Moroder - From Here To Eternity Yellow Magic Orchestra - Solid State Survivor Check 'em out!

I don't know what Autechre albums you listened to, but I've recently taken a shine to Amber. Check it out if you haven't. It's much more atmospheric and less mathy than their current stuff. On a side note, Aphex Twin is slowly but surely becoming my favorite musician of all-time.

Thought you would enjoy to know that Park has a large following at St. Joseph's high school in renfrew ontario. Two bands played Park songs at the talent show, at least that it what my sister told me.

sweet, thanks man. I have a rec for you I think you might like, if you like the Lone/Bibio/Kona Triangle bunch: Lukid - Foma, it's quite interesting though I found it a bit of a grower, still good stuff

I noticed the same resemblance between Volcano Choir and Steve Reich! Additionally: Sufjan Stevens, (of course Fripp/Levin), Sonic Youth, Matt Cameron, Fred Chalenor, Glen Kotche (sp?), Amy Denio and probably many others have exhibited minimalist tendencies within a pop music wrapper. Is there anyone, Yotimi, who you really like and I may not know about yet?

I don't know if you heard Lone's new EP yet, but it was released a couple days ago if you're interested. It's nothing really impressive and just follows in Emerald Fantasy Tracks' footsteps, but it's a solid listen nonetheless. Let me know what you think if you choose to give it a spin.
