Dude sounds rad. Glad to hear you're alive and pursuing your musical interests. What's the hair length these days? On my end I'm debating growing it out to a sizeable afro again or cutting it short as I've done for the past few years.

I understood. This guy is widely known then? Lots of names for reference points but I'm not sure If that's in relation to actual people or just musical things I should write down.

That is a new feature. I started listening again but all of my scrobbles aren't recorded. Heavy Heavy Low Low, Blood Brothers, Past Lives, Jaguar Love, Cursive, Fear Before and many others would be much higher. Alas I started this summer of 2009 but give it some time. Glad to see you're alive by the way ha. Hadn't heard from you in weeks.

I agree with what you said. Age helps but I didn't mean to say it was some sole deciding factor. Bands change and people are influenced by others. I really wonder If anything from today will stand the test of time.

Saw the shout but didn't watch you getting pwned yet. : ) Never 'verbally' said this but I'm glad I have someone mature to talk music with. By that I mean someone over the age of sixteen.

Different styles/tones/purpose. Nick from Tera Melos uses 20+ pedals at shows so I wouldn't really say it deals with skill. Take John Coltrane and all the sound he can produce for instance. He just plays a sax.

Maybe so, they've always done it though. Same guy and everything. Saw them live and they didn't include the sample so I guess it's just an album thing.

He is. I haven't talked to Mark in a bit but I think Champagne is going to release something new. At least full length wise and not just seven inches. Was that on Johnny's blog?

'Death as a Fetish' obviously. Listen to the end of 'Mystery Cloud,' it has a really interesting/thought provoking sample of Alan Watts.

Favorite album art then? I agree on the favorite songs. It's all so different but the imagery was amazing.

My mistake, I apologize. I'll have to find this group and see what was said. Watched the odd video or two that you've linked me to but from what I hear it sounds like he's a bit of a dick. I like the bass distortion a lot though. I can see you in that vimeo video towards the end also. My friend linked me to a band like Double Dagger but the name escapes me at the moment. If you go back a bit on my facebook wall you'll see it. Something called up down pound something. I'm not getting on social media sites for the next few weeks. Trying to be studious, last.fm i'll make an exception for.

Meant Glassjaw. If I didn't know any better I'd say you are or were at some point involved with him? I probably just don't know any better/what I'm talking about.

Good discussion. I think "Stars" and "John Lennon" are right up there with the best songs they've ever recorded, I just don't care much for the rest. Coloring book on the other hand, I can listen through on repeat and just get completely lost in it...Dunno what it is.

Downloaded the "leak" a week or two ago. I think it's cool they were giving it away for free. I'm scarred to listen to it at the moment. Don't want it to alter my perception. Some of that Chinese Democracy shit.

Incorrect photo. I certainly reported it as inappropriate and mentioned the reasons or rather my reasons. I spend way too much time on here.

Have to look them up later in the week. Funny thing is a friend that transferred to Seattle University was telling me how she felt but when she went to my school she was nervous to say. On the way back across the state we stopped to see my friends sister at Central University and her friend was making eyes at me. Timing is everything I suppose, at least I purchased another record this weekend. Life is a strange thing.

Unfortunately the girl of my affection put me in the "friend zone." This attaches an odd and ironic significance for me to 'Sorrow' by The National.

I change things around from time to time. This semester I applied for another indie show but I may just do sub shows when I can. Doing another loud rock show would be fun, seems like when I have an indie show I want to do loud rock and vice versa. As for being frustrated with people and getting things ironed out. That's the story of my life. It'd be easier saying enough but I'm no hermit. Still, at times any issues are bullshit and people just need to grow up.

always two sides to a coin. ex: cheating. Forget that guy/girl, plenty of other fish in the sea. Opposite side of said coin: If it's meant to be work at it, no one is perfect. Time will tell.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limerence I find it highly interesting that wikipedia can pin down a complex as complex as love. My cd today wasn't very abrasive but then again my brother has known me for his entire life so he knows my mindset/what I like. Happen to catch my radio show in the past month or so with work and all? Always looking for constructive comments to improve. Holding out to not be to busy or to be to busy? (Think that's the correct use of to and too in that situation) I'm a mess schedule wise anyhow but I've planned a good deal of next semester thus far and I've been talking with my parents about a master's or what else to do. I think I'm just concentrating on the huge laundry list that is my life and things I need to move forward/save money. People can fit in around that If they'd like to be involved. I try/I've tried but what is all that shit they say? Things happen when you least expect them. I feel like sayings and proverbs are shit though.

Making a mix tape as we speak for my brother and I. Back home now for winter break off of school. I'm also working on a mix cd for a girl but I lost half of my music so we'll see when that gets finished now. here is that article/wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chariot_(band) The opposite sex does funny things to one's listening taste etc. can barely form a coherent sentence when I'm around her but I think that's wearing off. I'm too busy or too lame to be able to work/have a relationship. I wish you the best. ha.

Just now after three minutes of trying in chrome did that new Microsoft snap feature. bullshit. I have Future Breeds and if you look at past scrobbles I've listened to it a few times. I liked the early sound but saw them live when they were poppy. I had the chance to see them on a tour for Future Breeds but I didn't end up going. I really like the mix of the two "sounds." I never said they were too cute but maybe my reference to your theory made you think I thought they were "cute." They do what they do. It's like this interview at the end referring to music, "People care too much about the fashion of it all. To me, a band's either good or they ain't, and that's the only thing that should matter." Like you said anything post Black Flag is "post-punk" etc.

I have all of their music. Were you talking about Scenes One Through Thirteen or me playing the occasional Make Up the Breakdown and Elevator? For the record a girl has nothing to do with those musical selections.

I like them. At least the song sorrow, and I think by my music tastes you know I like certain bands more than others. I don't pretend to like them around her or anything. Just not my first choice If I was reading in my room and browsing through iTunes.

It has it's moments but think Help Wanted Nights. Hot Fuss has always been a favorite, before I had last.fm that and Cursive along with the Blood Brothers were some of my top plays by thousands. I was a bit disappointed with Sam's Town but I love some good synth. Hot Fuss is just great.
