I know what you mean. To be honest with you, I'm having a hatred for the summer like never before, but I know northern countries are way colder and always long for it. But we should be careful. I mean, probably both our winter as your summer this year can be even harsher :S

Why can't you go home, or to your fiancee? // Things here are in a, as to say, routine. There's the always-present corruption, there are people complaining, there are people making jokes about the president and there's a huge amount of people unaware of our problems. There's uneployement, there's misery, and there are some insanely rich, with a wage greater than the income of a whole city, and there's the life of the average middle-class like me, that looks weirdly disconnected of the other two. Well, you would find our country is really unbalanced. Still, you'd be welcome, plus your passport wouldn't be seized only by walking around at dawn. You'd really have to learn portuguese though, and there a lot of annoying rules that, well, most of portuguese speakers don't care about learning anyway
