I listened to APGDU for the first time this morning. It wasn't as horrible as I was expecting it to be. But it got me to thinking (along with the recent shouts on AFP's artist page) how annoyed I am with fans who refuse to criticize their favorite artists. They act like it's sacrilege or something. I mean, fuck, Tori Amos was my life for 5+ years and I'd shout from the rooftops that her newer albums are steaming piles of crap, if given the chance. So, here's my mini-rant regarding AFP's recent direction: 1) She's one of the most talented songwriters on the planet. The covers are getting old. Especially since I hate Radiohead. 2) I don't love the ukulele nearly as much as everyone else seems to. It makes everything sound the same. *end mini-rant*

Fuck! I just saw that you really dislike Amanda Palmer Goes Down Under. I can't believe I haven't forked over the .69 for it yet. I can safely assume she will never beat WKAP since it's probably my all-time favorite album at this point. Honestly, I think I haven't gotten the new one yet because I'm scared to. lol... I'm sure you understand. It always sucks ass when one of your favorite artists puts out something you think is disappointing.

I agree, it could've been a great song if Michael was actually singing it. I've listened to it several times and I'm sure that that's not him. His voice is weak and the "Hee, Hee" is a bit off. His voice sounds white boyish too, like Justin Timberlake lol.

Yo! so I checked out those bands, Wax Phantom was okay, a bit too much like polar bear club iirc, but enjoyable. I didn't like Slingshot Dakota at all, her voice was terrible and they just were pretty boring in general. so yeah.
