really interesting actually. curious to hear their later stuff which drifts away from funeral doom. always wondered what "progressive doom metal" would be like, since i've never seen technicality used in doom much besides Confessor, which barely counts (but is still awesome imo)

not really but i'm gonna get on it some time this week. been listening to some dark ambient stuff like deathprod, so funeral doom will fit with that.

I heard both albums yesterday, and it was a great experience. I don't feel like re-listening in the near future, but nice albums either way. It has a certain mood, I probably wasn't in the mindset. I kept it for later. Thanks for the suggestions! I love Franz Kafka's works, by the way.

Check out Egypt, from the US. EP is great, they just got back together and put out a new album last year. Haven't heard it yet, but if it's anything like the EP it's class. Also, listen to more Stonehelm.

I see that, but we still have tons of music that leaves us "a match". I never adhere myself to specific genres anyway...hard rock/metal is what I like best though. I do try to stay open to listening to almost anything, except maybe pop music. :D
