really interesting actually. curious to hear their later stuff which drifts away from funeral doom. always wondered what "progressive doom metal" would be like, since i've never seen technicality used in doom much besides Confessor, which barely counts (but is still awesome imo)

not really but i'm gonna get on it some time this week. been listening to some dark ambient stuff like deathprod, so funeral doom will fit with that.

I heard both albums yesterday, and it was a great experience. I don't feel like re-listening in the near future, but nice albums either way. It has a certain mood, I probably wasn't in the mindset. I kept it for later. Thanks for the suggestions! I love Franz Kafka's works, by the way.

Check out Egypt, from the US. EP is great, they just got back together and put out a new album last year. Haven't heard it yet, but if it's anything like the EP it's class. Also, listen to more Stonehelm.

Kroda? Closest thing it sounds to me is Panopticon's album "On the Subject of Mortality", but folkier at times. It is pretty amazing though, yeah.

Grab it from me on SLSK in FLAC form that is. I also already have it encoded into V0.

Yeah. I totally forgot to ask if you want it. I can encode it to whatever type of mp3 you want, or you can grab it from me on SLSK.

I've heard the exact opposite from a bunch of people, so I'll check it out myself. You ever listen to Grouper btw? I'm listening to "Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill" and it's like... ambient folk drone... or something.

Burzum and VC? So jelly. :( I actually have "V", but never liked it as much. I think maybe my taste wasn't refined enough.
