Nice music selection. Hope you did well in the marathon, was nearly a year ago looks like. Recently gotten heavily into Lake of Tears and wish they could come to the USA, and your music list matches mine well. Got some good ideas from it.

My Update 2 Dec 2010, 07:03 I'm still running the marathon for Team Diabetes Jan 16, in honor and memory of our son, Brian, whom many of you know passed away from complications of type 1 diabetes this past February, 10 days before his 34th birthday. Here's the link:http://main.diabetes.org/site/TR?type=fr_personal&fr_id=7500&px=6139327&post_id=57803&bpg=rlist&pg=personal If any of you would like to donate, I'll love you forever. If you'd just go look at the page, I'll love you forever. :) I realize every one has their own missions and causes, and I honor that. But if you would consider making a small donation in my Brian's cause, I would be so, so very grateful. Thank you. Also, I just posted a video in support of the American Diabetes Association's Stop Diabetes campaign. Here's the link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v79uSmSUqCo Thank for reading and watching. Sincerely, Linda Buthmann (Valentia, outing herself in the cause of diabetes activism)

Hi, onewinteronly. It's been a hard year and I haven't been around much. I've been working on this pretty much non-stop: I'm running the marathon for Team Diabetes Jan 16, in honor and memory of our son, Brian, who passed away from complications of type 1 diabetes this past February, 10 days before his 34th birthday. Here's the link:http://main.diabetes.org/site/TR?type=fr_personal&fr_id=7500&px=6139327&post_id=57803&bpg=rlist&pg=personal If anyone would like to donate, I'll love you forever. If you'd just go look at the page, I'll love you forever. :) I realize every one has their own missions and causes, and I honor that. But if anyone would consider making a small donation in my Brian's cause, I would be so, so very grateful. Thank you. Yeah, I'm spamming the interwebz with this. It's that important to me. I just keep hoping someone will see it and be moved to donate. If not, bless them anyway. So nice to hear from you, and thanks for the rec--you know I adore Tuomas!!!

Hi Val, how are you doing? Haven't had news from you in a while! I was just listening to The Man-Eating Tree's new album, and I think you'll go crazy over it. :) Great to hear Tuomas singing again!

All of a sudden you disappeared. You didn't go out a get yourself a life, did you? If you did, you have my envy. I miss hearing from you. If you get a chance, check out the new Alice Cooper CD, "Along Came a Spider". It's some of the best tunes to come out for years. Cheers.

ok, Val, you have my admiration now. Dealing with a router firm updating and its config tweaking is not an easy task at all. Maybe it took hours to solve but think that you have learned a lot about LAN issues, ports, conflicts and that kind of stuff that will be usefull in the future as gadget crazyheads. (WANT-THAT-TOUCH!) Now you are surfing around again, I must remind you my last recomendation: In Mourning is a must have and if you have not already downloaded it from emusic then the gods of metal will curse you with an earworm that only sing American Idol songs. Mark my words, my friend, go get them!

Hi there! It's truly been a while so I thought I'd drop by to say 'hi' before this sudden inspiration to stop being a lazy bastard and actually keep in contact with people fades away ;) How have you been? Still listening to good (Finnish) music, I see :)

Well, I don't know about you, but I think this new design of Last.fm is just a pain. Almost like they're trying to make it resemble facebook. Too bad.

If the router was given to you by your ISP, then it probably has custom configurations and an special name and pass so you wont be able to access it, the good part is that your ISP should send a technician to solve the issue: their router -> their problem. If you bought the router yourself then you should be able to access it (name and pass in the manual or in a sticker, traditionally admin/1234) and check if everythings ok in its config, hardreseting it would can be a nice option but all this should be done by someone with tech knowledge. It's easy to screw all things up monkeing around with these configurations. Ah, and dont think I havent seen you have mentioned you have a Touch, congratulations for having a new gadget and a new enemy because now I deeply hate you. I wont buy one of those untill they get way more capacity but i cant deny it triggers GAS (the Gear Adquisition Syndrome) right in the moment you take one in your hand.

Well, if you can surf and download without matters connecting your laptop directly to the modem then your problem is located in the wifi router. There are many checks and procedures to find the problem there, and few are for non-techies. Of course you should start with the traditional restarting, checking of cables to be properly plugged and so on... If all that has been done without results you should have to enter the router using a browser (typing its IP number in the address box, usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 and entering name/pass) but this can be a bit risky.

GAH! So, I'm here shouting in my own shoutbox because I cannot make a new journal entry. Is this a last.fm problem or yet another reason for me to loathe my ISP? I am currently in internet connection hell due to what seems to be a badly botched takeover of adelphia by TimeWarner, which I shall in future refer to as "The Embodiment of All That is Evil and Wretched and SUCKS." In short, after several weeks of virtually no access at all, we've been told to plug the modem directly into the computer (Windows XP, laptop, if that matters). Instead of into the router. OK, I can now browse and get email. But now I can no longer use any of the 'net-related stuff on my iPod Touch, even though the Touch says the network is connected. So, the router is clearly necessary for the Touch yet not compatible with my wretched new ISP? I hate everything and want to cry. :( If you've slogged through this and know anything about this sort of thing I'd be ever so grateful for any words of wisdom you'd share.

I'm considerably ok, too, the usual little ups and downs and stuff... school's exhausting, since the last two (and most important) years have started for me, and next year around this time, I'll already have graduated... so it's a lot of stress. ;) And afterwards, I'll continue learning at university. ^^ - Unfortunately I had to quit dancing, because it collided with the times I am at school. That was pretty hard for me, though; I've done it for 6 years, after all... And yeah, Kryptonite is amazing ^_^ *keeps bouncing and hugging*
