The album seems to either be praised or totally flacked. Quite few reviewers can't let Vikernes' politics and past be what it is and only talk about the music. The fact that he killed that asshole Aarseth doesn't bother me one bit. I seem to be the only person in my surroundings enjoying the album. Everyone tells me the album is just ok, but I really like the album a lot. His best album since "Hvis Lyset Tar Oss" in my view.

I know, I bought the tickets on Bergman's birthday. I'll write some kind of review when I've seen it. So, what do you think about the new Burzum album? Am I the only person who is seeing its greatness?

Are you familiar with a play by Eugene O’Neill called "Long Day's Journey into Night"? Liv Ullmann is touring Norway this autumn with that play. I'm seeing it in October. I have not read the play myself, but it seems very promising from what I've read about it. Seems a bit "Bergmanesque". Ullmann is doing this last ever theatre tour in Norway and two performances at Dramaten in Stockholm (Bergman's old stage). She'll never do another stage act again after this. Will be fun seeing her in the flesh.

It probably won't be released this year. As far I know, B.P is finishing up the vocals. Christian Ruud is doing the cover for the album, I had to go in and re-do some bass stuff a few weeks ago. Then we have to re-amp the bass and some guitar stuff, then we have to mix and master it, and hopefully The End or someone will actually bother to release it. And I have an album title for you: "A Keepsake Diary", it's a concept album about the future. And I just got an A on my German exam (hurray!). Eywin ist der Sieg!

I want to be able to read Nietzsche and Goethe in the original, I'm sort of fascinated with German language and culture, Scandinavian and German culture have a lot in common. If you want to study a Scandinavian language later on, some knowledge of German won't hurt you. The grammar is different, but if you have a basic German vocabulary, you'll understand quite a few Scandinavian words and sentences already.

I'm fine, studying for my German exam next month. Just finished up some FB bass things. Not that much happening actually.

It's one hell of a movie, that's for sure. The characters goes through different types of pain. The colour red supposedly symbolizes the "bleeding of the soul". Thulin/Ullmann are too caught up in their own mental suffering, so they do not want to recognize their sister's physical pain. The maid is the only person who cares about Agnes. Many people think that the ending is extremely optimistic. I'm not sure if I agree. On her deathbed Agnes realizes that her sisters don't recognize her pain (Ullmann turns around when she is screaming for help). The problem, the way I see it, is: if you found out that your family and the people you believed cared about you and loved you, in fact didn't care about you, would that be a life worth living? The time with them was based on a lie, your whole life would've been a lie. It's a great film, I'm torn between it and Persona as my favourite Bergman films.

Well, I'm having five exams next month, so I'm kinda losing my mind about that right now. Love socializing? You don't know me very well do you? Is typing really socializing? I don't see the point in having profiles on all these different web pages. I like Last Fm since it's about music, I can discover new music and discuss music with people here. I'm way too addicted to the Internet already, I don't need another bunch of web pages to check every day, it's just a waste of time when you think about it.

Actually, it would be wiser to bug B.P about that. I'm done with my parts, it's the vocals that's taking forever. I did bug him about it a few weeks ago, looks like it'll be done maybe around new year.

So, have you seen cries and whispers yet? I'll bug you about it until you do.

Some kind of Language degree I guess. Maybe I'll combine English with Norwegian or something, but I've developed a sudden interest in German, which is more difficult. Norway is no better than any other place when it comes to politics and bureaucracy, it's a hell hole like any other place.

I'm currently not enrolled, but I'm taking classes on my own and studying part time. I'm at least planning on studying full time next year. Don't get me started on the P-ed thing, it's ridiculous. Maybe I can study English in the U.S or something, that would be interesting, but I'll only get a loan if I return to the old country after I'm done. If I ever leave this bureaucratic hell hole, my plan will be to not return, which could become a problem.

It went pretty well. I had this physical-ed exam that I had to take because it's mandatory, and I almost flunked it. When I found out I had passed, it was the biggest relief ever. My oral English exam went great, then there were a couple other exams that I think went pretty good, but I haven't received the grades yet, I should know sometime this month. I'm taking German, Advanced English and Social Science in the fall, after that I want to go study abroad or something, but we'll see.

Riiiiight.....ehm. I guess my dream of being similar with VDGG, King Crimson and Genesis won't happen for a while yet.

Your assumptions are correct. When the album is done I'll probably just upload it somewhere, maybe here on Last.FM. We're having some issues with The End right now, but you will be able to listen to it, as soon as it's done.

The new MM album is finished, I haven't heard it yet, but they recorded the album themselves this time, which is the reason why the new FB album has been delayed, B.P used a long time on it. If you're going to watch "Salò", I would advice you to do some research and think about if you actually want to watch it. I'm not sure if I like it or not, It's the darkest movie I've ever seen. Maybe it's not as disturbing as most people claim it is, but I don't know if Pasolini has an actual argument or if he's just an nihilistic/misanthropic nut case. It works as an allegory and I'm glad I saw it. It's one those movies (like cannibal holocaust etc.) that you don't really want to see again. But then again, if you enjoy watching people eating shit, getting raped, tortured etc, then go for it ;). But I'm of one of those people who enjoyed Ellis' American Psycho on an intellectual level, and I have the same attitude to this film. It's ugly to watch, but somehow rewarding at the same time.

Ok, so I got the Virus album. I like it, reminds me of "666 International" a bit, without the electronics. The two albums have similar "vibes". There are a lot of cool riffs on the Black Flux, many interesting chords and cool arrangements, thanks for recommending it! Oh and I just saw Pasolini's movie, "Salò", like my view on humanity wasn't pessimistic and cynical enough as it was...

Yup, nothing is like some BM during the winter time. I've heard a lot of cool things about the Black Flux album, I've listened to some samples and it sound cool. I might have to buy this one.

Have you seen the Bergman movie "Cries and Whispers"? I really enjoyed it, most likely his best one (next to "Persona"). I've seen a bunch of Bergman movies lately that I've never seen before. I also checked out a bunch of Woody Allen movies, just finished his Bergman rip-off film "Interiors", it reminded me of Ibsen's "The Wild Duck".

It's a rock n roll power-trio, I don't know if it'll go anywhere, but I need something else to do since FB rehearsals are pretty rare nowadays.

Hi, I'm back online now, so I'll probably hang around here more. What I've been up to? Finishing the Bass for the new album for one ting, working on another musical project and studying.

I've only heard the song that's up on The End's website. It sounds pretty cool. Cheap-ass The End haven't sent me any albums in ages, so if I can't find it online I probably won't listen to it. BTW you should listen to Van Der Graaf Generator, especially the album Pawn Hearts, Avant-Prog at its best!
