I like it quite a bit (and word is that the bonus tracks on Cuttings 2 are great.) I like that many bands talk about evolution to other sounds but it's only vague little steps...and then In this Light and On this Evening comes ago and throws out everything you know about Editors. Also Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool = fuckwin.

I don't know about it. Musically is very heavy, yet it does not have the energy that the two other records have. It's kinda sorta Queens of the Stone Age-y, which makes sense becuase Homme co-produced it. Turner doesn't have his wit on display on it either, which is my biggest complaint. In the end it's my least favorite of the three...and by a pretty substantial margin.

I disagree with shattered hero, just cause it's not really on the same level as the o'rourke albums... it's still good, and I think it's not long enough... most of the songs are short for Youth songs... Massage the History is probably the best. I also liked Calming the Snake, but I think that track should have gone on for another 2 minutes

It's a really good album, especially if you liked Sonic Nurse, M. Street, and RR as much as I did. But it could use a bit of a shave. Like feels about 10 minutes too long.

Have you listened to Animal Collective's first album, Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished? It's one of their best, and the final track, "Alvin Row," is one of my favorite song from them.
