i got your 2010 year in review magazine as a stocking stuffer last christmas. good stuff. your article about sufjan was really neat, and a very solid best albums list. age of adz was a nice choice, that album is super underrated. the article on the trend of lo-fi (with interviews with waves and best coast!) was super awesome too. love the magazine guys, wish it was available on more newsstands. peace, under the radar crew.

I agree but disagree sure opinion is never right but I still don't like the numeric rating system and for the record I was just giving an example of a basic rating not a real rating. And no its not that I don't like your reviews I don't like the rating at the ends u don't blame you for hating the system I actually started to hate the system because of watching the needle drop. Thank you for responding but I still don't like rating.

If you must know I am a music reviewer and I don't agree with rating albums like 5/10 stars I don't think its fair to the reviewed artist or the reviewer. I believe all music is good in its own way and ratings are only based on ones opinions if you review an album it should be only complimentary since music is a form of art no one opinion is actually right.

Thanks for the comment, I've been a subscriber for a number of years... cool to see you on Last.fm. I think the St. Vincent album is pretty amazing, could be the album of the year.

Under the Radar, I'm probably going to get a subscription to your magazine soon. I'm just going to throw this out there, though: you guys actually take the time to analyze, and talk about the tracks. You're not like Pitchfork, in which you throw around lofty, pretentious, "indienese" words and reasoning. Keep doing what you're doing. A soon-to-be reader, Cameron

Yeah, she's great! I've just started listening to her actually. Not sure why I didn't before. I love the magazine by the way! The Comedy & Music issue was incredible. That picture of Patton Oswalt as Prince may just be one of the greatest things ever

Thank you, I'm hoping I can attend ALL of the shows. I've also been reading the magazine for years and it's possibly the only music magazine I trust anymore. Thank you for your images and words!

As a Fiery Furnaces fan I'm kind of biased, but I do like it a lot. Her vocals and lyricism are just as mesmerizing and it's an enjoyable departure from her more familiar Furnaces work. It's simple and breezy and encompasses everything the summer should be. It's naive, playful, direct and is actually what I came to expect from her first solo venture.

well, on first listen it sounds great :) its kind of like a combination of their past three albums, there's a good mix of songs. I will definitely be listening to it for a while!
