Hi again:) I can't even remember if i read your reply (in your shoutbox :p); i'm sure if i had i would have replied! I Giorni is quite beautiful; much like a lot of Einaudi's music:D Soon when i have time I'll sample all his albums. That Fratres for Cello and Piano is superb; all the more so since cello is one of my favourite instruments. It reminds me very much of Rostropovich playing the Dvorak Cello concerto, except with a more sustained mellowness. In particular, in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxYbF-Yzdf0 , from 5:00 onwards (6:13 in particular) has some of the most beautiful cello i've listened to.

Wow, snowflux, great references! I often listen to the "Echoes - The Einaudi Collection" and "Divenire" albums. And I'd say my favorite tracks are "The Days (I Giorni)" (from "Echoes"), "Divenire" and "Primavera" (from "Divenire"). Now, when I think about it, I remember once I was watching YouTube videos/trailers and saw "The Reader" trailer and heard this wonderful and very well-known score on it. It was killing me I couldn’t come up with the name... It took me some time to realize it was Einaudi’s "Primavera". I love the guy. ♥ Philip Glass is great but you can also try Arvo Pärt. I absolutely love this track: Fratres For Cello And Piano (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vO92REraUo). It’s so dynamic and powerful, it’s tearing your soul apart with its maddening building tempo. And then… it’s this gentle theme again.

Nuvole Bianche, you can say that again! (found you through speedodyssey=p). Had a quick peek through your library and i must recommend Philip Glass's tracks "The Hours", "Vanessa and the Changelings" and "The Illusionist" which, like Einaudi, have a similar minimalist and vast sound except expressed through string, not piano. And on top of that Javier Navarrete's film score for Pan's Labyrinth, and two french singers Coeur de Pirate, and Camille. haha i see what you mean. Piano is my favourite instrument, but that's a bit of a given. I very much fancy it is his minimalistic tendencies; the music seems so emotional and moving but there's really not a lot going on (compared to, say, a film score). Nuvole Bianche is my favourite track from him :)

Yes, but... Well, I like it, but it's too commercial and the song looks likee very gaga's, the collaboration with Ben Harper is owfull, the Line Renaud's collaboration's it's a bit better, it's clear that this madame wants to celebrate her 50's in the high way.

Yeah :D It was so fantastic!! I was a bit angry because the concert started after 9 and i had been already standing a lot but when she started singing i forgot everything! She was amazing!! Especially in the middle of show when she was singing the ballads. Which were your favourite song pefrormances? Mine were Je m'ennuie, C'est dans l'air, Nous souviendrons nous, XXL, L'Instant X...! Was the second concert better than the first? (cause in the first there were some technical problems)
