This: While I do think pop music has it's merits when I am feeling lighthearted and jolly in the end it doesn't hold much artistic might. Electronic music on the other hand is expansive and there is a lot more creativity in it than some people would think. I used to care what other people thought of my music taste, now I just listen to what I think I should enjoy. Pop music is 'easy' and accessible to listen to and fun but there is just so much more feelings in listening to something from the darker end of the music spectrum. There is a lot of genuine beauty in sad songs.

Yes, yes! That's how it is for me... whatever my mood is, it prescribes what I listen too. I also love when a song perfectly describes how I am feeling. Some people would say listening to dark music whilst depress only makes it worse, but that is not the fact for me, as it actually makes me feel better. It's therapeutic.

I do not like how there just never seems to be enough time on the day to listen to it all. :3 There is a lot of music on my iTunes I haven't even listened to yet, and some has been there for three years. In any case it's nice to know a variety of music since there is something for every feeling and for every mood. :-)
