Another band... I'm sorry for bothering you so much. :$ When I start talking about music, it is hard to stop. Magnificent dark ambient album. :) I really enjoyed it. In the same vein, I would recommend you Teatro Grotesco and its free album "At The House of Dolls", which you can find in here: http://www.last.fm/music/Teatro+Grotesco/At+the+House+of+Dolls I'm not sure if you're going to like it, but give it a try if you have some free time... It is dark ambient as well, but more obscure.

Well fuck, I didn't get to see Shining, but there will always be other shows. Actually, I have not listened to Shining or any depressive bm in a while. I tend to listen to music according to mood, and I haven't felt the slightest bit depressed in a while, which is weird considering that I am almost always depressed during the winter months. It's been cold as Niflhel though, and that has hindered any chances to go exploring. How have you been? Sorry that I've taken so long to respond.

It really was, and that says a lot coming from me because typically I hate going to concerts. But this was just so laid back and there wasn't an over abundance of people there. Voltaire was the last set and he ended it with a bang, that's for sure.

I saw them at the Trocadero in Philadelphia in May of 2002, along with Roach, Audra, Unto Ashes, and Voltaire.

Anathema, Opeth, Candlemass, Black Tape for a Blue Girl ... great list! I saw BTfaBG in concert once, and it was one of the few concerts I've enjoyed.

I think the majority of people over here wouldn't know how to react to them, so hopefully they make a lasting impression. I was wanting to see Agalloch, but they never play down south.

I havent heard it in it's entirety, but the few songs I have heard were amazing. From what I gather, it's more exciting than the great cold distance. And yes, Shining's 7th album should be quite promising. Klagopsalmer was basically an experimental release of sorts. Oh, and the band is touring the States in January!

Hopefully they'll change soon. I think that last.fm recalculates the similar artists every six months or so. I'll be happy just to have a few that are even remotely similar (and to get rid of a few that are currently listed!).
