As much as I would like to elevate my status from 'cabinetmaker' to 'jack of all trades' I have never done semi-exterior work. I should give it a try. The only songs I remember are the few that are on your legendary Coachella mixes. I miss those days. What are your thoughts on sled Island? Are you going to buy a pass? I have roughly planned each day and there is enough to keep me pretty busy. It Might not be as big of a suck fest as I had thought.

Um, I just took a quick look at the updated list.... From what I have seen there is nothing notable added. I guess I will have to do my research this year and listening to some new bands. I am a little disappointed

I cannot agree more. Tv was not as good as I was hoping. I didn't like any of the reworked songs. I was fully satisfied with the dirty projectors though. They played their whole new album, but did not touch any of their old stuff. Was it the same in Calgary? We also went to see Clues (other guy from Unicorns) and they were good as well, but they walked off the stage half way through the set. I think the band was pissed that there was a real low turn out (maybe 50-60 people there). They were real tight though. Did you get your pass yet? ANDREW W.K!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, it has potential! I have always had mixed feelings towards folk fest. Chances are that there will only be one act you want to see each day, and if there is one thing worse than a blues jam, it is a folk jam. I have been burned by folk fest in the past... Iron and Wine would be good though. Belle Orchestre would be good as well - I probably will not be doing folk fest this year due to my summer classes. -HOWEVER- I am almost certain that I will buy a Sled island Pass now......but still........I wait...........

Final Fantasy is playing a church so it will probably worth checking out. I watched that Anvil documentary last night, while it is really good, I have no desire to see them live. I might check out king kahn and BBQ as well as HEALTH. I'm not sure if I will buy a pass but I am kind of wondering how this two tier pass system will work. Seems like there is more chance of getting burned by the capacity rules for each venue.

It would be cool to see Phil do a solo show, from what I have seen Mount Eerie with a large band can sometimes get sloppy. Friday at 2:00 pm the full line up will be announced.

I half expected that Coachella video to be serious. It was only a matter of time before wizards discovered Coachella. Harlem shakes is going to be a good car CD.

I'll have to give that one another listen, I got a while back but it got lost amongst other releases. So I asked some guy on the sled island message board about last years turn out, he said that they will not be going with Metawa this year, instead they will have a mock main stage at the olympic plaza. Could be cool, but I will miss listening in the sun.

Hey, is that Years album any good? I heard a few tracks on his myspace, sounded good. The new Bill Callahan is owning my ears at the moment! The "Rococo Zephyr" and "Jim Cain" tracks are soooo good.

I watched some clips on Youtube, seemed pretty good. The set list was packed full of beatles tunes. I think the last two encores were him solo. I also watched the liars, beirut, and jonestown webcasts. All of those were good. It would have been fun to sweat in the sun this year. I hope Sled island doesn't suck, it is all I am looking forward to this summer. Line up is announced on may 1st!
