Aw, that sucks. I completely empathize with money limits. It was a really good show. Venue was well laid out, staff was SUPER nice, other metalheads were super friendly. We brought our kid and he had blast but just missed Chrigel and the others coming out to hang with everyone outside after the show (we saw them as we got sucked into one-way traffic). Still kicking myself for that. I see they aren't doing a US leg for Paganfest this year. What a bummer. But after looking though the touring history of all my favourite folk metal it looks like most of them make regular visits to MN. Eluveitie seems to come every two years, Metsatoll, Fintroll, and Korpiklaani have come through before. So at least there'll be chances to see more.

Not sure if I saw you last night with so many people to take in but wow, what a show! The moshing wasn't bad at all, even with the tiny wall-of-death =p and we found good places to stand to keep the kiddo safe while being able to see the stage well. We'll definitely try to make it to future concerts.

The same for me, I haven't made it to anything since 2006? I've got my kid with me so we're looking for shows that would be okay for him and he's mega-into Eluveitie. =p The folk/symphonic metal scene seems pretty chill, especially at the little clubs, so I think that's reasonable. I'm trying to find small shows and outdoor festivals around MN/WI and hopefully get to more in the future.

Thanks! Eluveitie is the only thing written in stone with travel/work schedule/etc. but it's good to know the stuff I like is still making it to the states! The last I saw in MInneapolis was Therion and Nightwish and it's a lot of fun getting so close to such big bands in the small venues.

Really??? So I'm going to download the new wolfchant tonight :D I somehow got addicted to them but not as much as you yet :P haha. The Pagan Storm album is just AWESOME :D I just listened to some of the gallowbraid's songs in youtube, they sound amazing. The only band I found in some way shape of form to some degree similar to Agalloch was Nest which I really like them :D

Ahh, no, went for that concert alone, but don't regret :)
