damn, those are two good albums. the thing about the melvins is each cd is totally different... all i can say is give em a few more listens. they may grow on you.

just out of total curiosity, where did you start? because i mean, they have like 20 albums now. and it took me about 3 months to start to actually like them, but that was 8 years ago.

my goodness there are so many bands like that, i could go on forever. but it doesn't mean we shouldn't listen to and enjoy their music. it's just the stupid way our society worships dead people. i started listening to the melvins because of nirvana as a matter of fact.

well its like this... I was a huge Nirvana fan in middle/high school (admittedly I've been a DEVO fan longer), I still appreciate their early work but I just think people look at Cobain like he was a god among men or something.

I think Cobain stripped it down too much to be as good as the original but thats just me. And I like the way he tried to imitate Mark Motherbaughs voice. :P

we have pretty good departments for nearly everything you named (namely our music department). however it's a pretty small campus and there isn't much to do except get wasted. i probably should also tell you since it's a liberal arts school you have to take some of everything including lab sciences and gym and junk like that.
