I think it is because I just really don't like his post-2023 stuff - it sounds like he is trying to hard to make a "good" sounding album to the point where everything might sound "good", but there is nothing much that I can actually get out of listening to it. That applies more to Chromakopia but still, dttg was buns.

Only album i've saved to my itunes that came out this year is Culture by tdf but its still not mindblowing to me. On twt i see people hyping up nine vicious for nothing, rest in bass che but i'm not moved by any of them tbh. Didn't even like the new carti you're not alone

Might be dependant on your approach and attitude. I know if I hear that an album is the "best of the best" then I set my expectations too high and that makes it hard to enjoy it. My favourite albums from this year have been Lotus by Little Simz, LGSTO by Clipse, Eusexua by FKA Twigs, new Skrillex that's too long to write, DTTG by Tyler and HUT by The Weeknd. There's a couple more I think are good but I haven't listened to thoroughly, like Canceriona by Natalia Lafourcade. RateYourMusic can be quite cringe but its worth checking their top albums of 2025 even if just for discoverys sake.
