You really should. They make some of the most interesting and unique black metal I've listened to. Their newer releases are their best ones so you should start with those.

Probably my greatest accomplishment, and a recent one. Alas, the finest bļåčķ mëťął can never grace my ears again :(

I enjoy it quite a bit, particularly the vaporous, hypnotic guitarwork. A lot of people are comparing it to Negative Plane, but I’m inclined to say that I prefer what Predatory Light are doing. I was a big fan of Ash Borer, but I feel that they are unfortunately no more, so this is probably the next best thing. Black Hallucinatory Psychedelia has quickly become my favorite niche.

I listened to this during the senior year of my second undergrad degree. I associate it with a particular person.

I can’t tell if your comments are ironic or sincere, but they’re great either way

Much of the time, I am also unsure. Life is pain and confusion. Much love to you <3

Also our common interests include Death Grips and MGMT, and that's enough for me. LDA is fantastic.

I agree with everything you said! Neurosis is one of those bands that don't need to prove anything, the band already has his name and legacy marked forever. But it's admirable and amazing how after so long the band can gather ideas and continue making high-level music. I love these guys.

Kaamos is long time out of print (funny because almost all other TK albums got reprinted in one way or another)... try discogs.com, but prepare some good amount of cash

That's the same with me as well, what I listen to in the morning will often be different from what I listen to in the evening. My mood can change throughout the course of a single day.

I'll be lurking through your scrobbles to find some more music that I haven't heard or listened to before! Man, I just love people with a massively varied range of tastes. I mean, I can go from listening to grindcore to some 90s emo!

I actually had it just like that until I finally listened to R Plus Seven a couple of weeks ago, so I'd give that a shot if I were you, even if it doesn't necessarily resemble Tim Hecker all that much. great, great record, especially Zebra and the final minute of the closing track.

NINEMETERSOFCUM
It was a wondrous, vile drug that felt like falling into a wormhole, elongating the soul to such an extreme that all the old clinical rhythms of mind were forgiven. Vile because of when returned to 'normal' it felt like being transplanted from another aeon as a time-traveling ghost into the wrong, wretchedly crippled body, only adding to the horrors of this played-out reality. So, my addiction is purely fictive: a mere dream of having been prudent enough to never escape that glorious inner-realm.

Indeed it was. Setlist covered all the high points of their discography with at least one or two from every album. I was pretty dissapointed at the lack of Mantle (especially Shadows Of...) and that there were 4 new songs, but I really can't complain there. I'm told it was one of their shorter sets, which is a bummer too. Anyway the new songs sounded tight and made me really wanna revisit their album which I can dig a little more now. It's weird, whenever I listen to Benji or really any SKM I either absolutely love it or just hate it. Sometimes his stuff hits hard and sometimes he's just obnoxious. But I'll give the new album a listen for sure, interludes sound cool. Do you listen to Red House Painters? They were vastly superior imo and have a bunch of classics.

So Agalloch were amazing. Their set was around an hour and 45 minutes, they sounded incredible. Lots of neat stage props like a deer head, incense candles, all that good stuff. Ended up buying a rare record and chatted with their guitarist too, such a fun night. Anyway, how's that new SKM? I've heard mixed things.

Don't worry about it. I can't think of anything I'm actively looking for anyway.
