I was looking at your charts one day and noticed El Guante. I looked into him... dude is fucking amazing. Incredibly passionated and dynamic poet/rapper. I wanted to say thank you for having this guy on your charts so I could look him up, lol. I've been able to get my hands on quite a few of his albums already, with the exception of Vanishing Point.

that was always the "problem" with the cities: too many shows, not enough time. fancy scheduling and stellar driving skills can sometimes get the job done but it's a rough life up there with so much goodness seepin from the 612.

i will defintely require pictures. i used to live up in the cities and manage a few bars, as well as a "popular nightclub" that's since been shut down due to waterdamage. eyedea was down in my area on the 1st as part of the "when god gives you ugly" tour and he let me listen to part of the album as we caught up, which is like giving crack to a fiend. i was waiting patiently for the release when i saw your post on livejournal's musiclover's group, and hunted you here because, let's face it, this is where it's at. ;-) when you mentioned the NBS i damn near fell outta my chair, to be honest. it's been purchased, and a donation made to walker art. man, that shit is so ill it's amazing it's legal to play.
