Hey hey. Agalloch is one of my favorite bands but it's hard to recommend similar music because they blend styles in a pretty unique way. I can give you some of my favorite atmospheric and post-y black metal bands though. You should check out October Falls first. They conjure up the same sorta Cascadian magnificence for me that Agalloch does. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTILjxlm8x8 Coldworld is my favorite atmospheric act. Really bleak and moving. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqs6uY1UR8Q Woods of Desolation is amazing too. I can't get enough of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoAhr0vduTY Fen has got a sound a lot like Agalloch but they lean more towards super textural post-rock. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ow6-QPpcEE Skagos is fantastic too. If you like Sonata Arctica, you should check out Balflare. They are often compared favorably to Sonata Arctica, and I personally like them a good deal more. Their albums can be a bit hard to track down, but it is worth it, they are quite good. And of course, there's Fogalord, one of my favorite new bands and favorite albums from last year.
