This is true, but I think it's also due to how much my listening pace accelerated. It means I've listened to as many tracks in 26 months as I had in 42. Yep. I just thought that much about it.

I wonder what that says about our mental states. Like, maybe your relationship to David Bowie's music reflects your current mental state (i.e., "I'm an alligator," "People stared at the makeup on his face," "wham-bam thank you ma'am," etc.) whereas my relationship to Stars' music reflects my mental state ("I'm so hot for the rich girl," "set yourself on fire," "I am DESTROYER," etc.). Just a theory.
