Yeah, Empire was a great record, so they were always going to struggle to better it. Still, three good albums in a row for guys their age (and after their dodgy late 90s output) is great going, and they're definitely one of the most consistent bands around.
Tracks 1-9 are as good as their previous two albums, but the rest (bar Fields of Gold) is very, very generic. So half of it is a good album - which is fine, I suppose. You?
