I'm an Adelaideian - WOMAD is just down the road for me. Drum Drum's site just offers 10sec samples - maybe I should send up to NT for CDS and rip them, if Laurabada's any indication. Hi! I heard about Drum Drum because they were at a local music festival I've attended for ten years called WOMADelaide, and in 2001 WOMAD released a double-compilation CD on which Drum Drum were featured. They are awesome, and I'm hoping to track down more of their music, but I haven't had much luck. :D I love our 'common artists'! Regurgitator & Rachid Taha - who woulda thought??

I used to gig every weekend but alas, living so far from the city has changed that. At least myspace has done a good deed in the discovery of some new music :D So three music-oriented holidays hey?

Kaiser Chiefs were BRILLIANT! They were everything I had expected x 1,000,000! Yes, seriously THAT good! Haha. The sold-out crowd went nuts for them.. it's probably one of my most favourite gigs of all time! Maybe top 5? :D Anyway, not long until 18/8 indeed! Whether I follow the lead over to your gig will depend on my mate who'll be accompanying me to Ryan ;)

..in between myspace and here, I became slightly sidetracked by youtube! It happens ;) It's funny how I decided to go to one gig, then all these shows were announced around the same time! I have been suffering severe music deprivation since moving this far north, so all these gigs are like coming home. Sigh. My Mum always says it's like a part of me is missing without live music. Hmm! It's true - I am beating you in the gig stakes right now. I've gone a bit gig crazy. Thankfully, I have a couple of weeks off from driving the highway. The JBT gig will be a case of tagging along.. I just happen to be in Melbourne then and my friend whom I'm staying with had planned to attend already. I'm sure it'll be a great gig though! So you think you can keep up with the poke marathon? ;P
