Good to find another Drones fan. You should try out "Wait Long by the River..." by them if you haven't already.

You should check out the album "A Glimpse of Light" by Enno Velthuys, really excellent synth based ambient.

Also, Destinos is pretty good. I'll check out the full album in a bit. Always dig the spoken word introductions.

Digging the YT // ST. You should check out Shugo Tokumaru. Reminds me of a much more upbeat, Japanese Sufjan Stevens. Exit and Port Entropy are both good albums. Songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW2F-_1lYvM and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTwDdzIaRu4

if you get a chance you should take a listen to "The Way Home" EP by Sleep Dealer, it's some pretty good instrumental post-rock (for lack of a better term).

Some albums: Man Man - The Man in a Blue Turban with a Face: rough folk-ish somewhat experimental group, with this probably being their roughest, most experimental album. Try http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnW-XNdZ840 The Antlers - Hospice. Atmospheric concept album, moves from ambient to more upbeat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgLm2gInV4A Asobi Seksu - Citrus. Probably my favorite dreampop/shoegaze album. Not sure why, but I just never get tired of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8paDhfGQH4E&feature=results_video Black Moth Super Rainbow - Dandelion Gum. Lo-fi electronic psychedelica. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmvOA_-cJnw Anoice - Out of Season. Dunno how to classify. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBpnUYTFsbg Kashiwa Daisuke - Program Music I. Might remind you a bit of WEG. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByD5ORT6Mcw If LastFM fucks the formatting of this, I will cry.

Deathconsciousness is pretty damn good. Quality shoegaze throughout and some really amazing sections (e.g. Hunter from 7:00-8:30). Which is really nice, since I've been wanting to expand my shoegaze collection. You should check out Jojo Burger Tempest by Working for a Nuclear Free City. The album overall is pretty decent, but the title track at the end is what makes it all worthwhile.

I liked that Colin Stetson stuff more than I was expecting to, especially Fear of the Unknown... That Giles Corey track had some really good parts, and some parts I didn't care for too much. Really, really like that Swan Lake track, will definitely be looking deeper into their work. I liked "The Big Gloom" more than the other Have A Nice Life songs I listened to, still not one of my favorites though.

I listened to some of those bands you recommended to me. Drive Like Jehu was really cool, but I didn't really care for Have A Nice Life. You should check out the shoegaze/black metal group Dopamine, "Fan Night Pt. 1" is an amazing track.
