You have to make a festival line up. It's like Fantasy Premier League teams, but with bands! I don't really hit the live music scene and go out to gigs that much, but I know a lot of musicians and people who are gig goers. I am from Melbourne which is supposed to have one of the most vibrant live music scenes in Australia. I know that The Corner Hotel in Richmond is supposed to be very popular and may be something you want to check out while your here. Also depending when you are visiting Australia, you may want to look into going to the Big Day Out festival (that's in late January). The Arctic Monkeys and a few other big names are going to be playing.
