I didn't like it as much at first either, and it's still my least favorite album, but for an m-flo album, that's not saying it's bad lol. I like how Taku and Verbal have evolved from Cosmicolor. Taku does well in mixing all of these different types of dance music together. He even used dubstep well, which I normally despise. Verbal's flow keeps evolving too. He goes hard in Sure Shot Ricky and Run. To me, Square One feels like the 2012 version of Cosmicolor.
