I think the reason I got so obsessed was since they're something completely new for me. No matter what musical phases I've been through throughout my life, I've pretty much never listened to bands with female vocals. I haven't heard Under Feet... yet, but I gave This Business.. another shot yesterday and enjoyed it more than I had previously. Though starting with The Con then going on to Sainthood makes it harder to work my backwards, especially since they're sound changed a fair bit

Yeah, definitely. Still working my way through their previous stuff, but it's all pretty easy to digest. My only concern is that T&S will go the same way most pop music goes for me; a crazy peak of obsession before I lose interest. I'll just have to wait and see though. - Didn't there used to a whole bunch of T&S tripfags, and there were weekly appreciation threads and stuff? Tindersticks, Portishead, Elysian Fields. My dad's been listening to a ton of Lana Del Rey, everytime he plays it around me I pick out instances where I hear aspects of those artists. Probably Tricky & Massive Attack too, what with the substantial trip-hop influence.
