Hey RenegadeAnon! Great musical taste! I need to check out some of the artists in your library. I'm curious to know what you would think of my friends' band, MANKIND: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bedN-v9QMwc . Cheers from Sweden

I was wearing a blue hoodie and a beanie and I think my friend pointed out your shirt at one point. That jam with Calexico was fucking intense man! I got James McNew's setlist with his amp setup written on it. Great night.

Haha yeah I don't know if i just absentmindedly rejected the request sometime ago or what but I forgot to check my shoutbox for a long time and then i finally did and didn't see any reason not to be friends. and which are you so jealous of? I have to admit I'm not as much of a purist as perhaps john would like me to be :\ I buy what I can find, but I gotta say if I was unable to buy something then I tended to find the files some other way because i just had to hear it...

Glad to be of help! Actually, I also have never listened to them;; Do you have any recommendations of their albums? By the way, if you're interested in Japanese bands, you can't miss YURA YURA TEIKOKU(ゆらゆら帝国)♪ "Listenins" is believing, here is my recommendations→http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeaAOVKMXsY(Live footage) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQXAfYBAwZc(unofficial video 1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEEBYPI8yjk(unofficial 2) Unfortunately, they brokeup on March 31, 2010...(T-T)

Hi there! I'm surprised to know that you're listening to Ghost! I think few people know the band, even in Japan(^^; I suppose that the song is "寄生虫館にて", in English, "At the Parasitological Museum". Maybe, The Museum is "Meguro Kiseityukan"→http://kiseichu.org/english.aspx

I always liked this: "Lee Ranaldo's "Hey Joni" starts off already on some next level of energy, and then Lee shouts "kick it!" and the band ratchets up to some next next level, and then he coasts up to one exhilarating shouted "HEY!" and the band bursts through a ceiling higher than you could have imagined at the start of the track. It's the kind of transcendent glory that crosses genres and even arts: that same in-the-zone feeling you get from a be-bop combo in top gear, a rapper at the absolute clear-eyed peak of his game-- hell, even an athlete in perfect function."

Depends on how you're feeling. If you feel like some folk, go ahead and try Snuffbox Immanence. If you're in the mood for rock, try Hypnotic Underworld. Both are awesome and quite different.

The thing is, I still have like, half of that album and half of Wake Up still saved, so it's not as bad of a situation as you think.

More like going through my entire playlist and deciding what songs I don't want anymore. A good deal of Giant Steps took a dive.

WOW. Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul country. Apologies upfront for showing my political leanings, but your state seems to be to the right of Attila the Hun. It is so interesting to be watching the American political action from London. British political commentary is so dry and formal. Sarah Palin is viewed as an embarrassment over here. I have dual citizenship with the UK and US so I was able to vote (but in the bluest state in the nation--California). What do you do in Kentucky, other than listen to some great music?

Cheers mate. Where in the US do you live? I was born in London, but grew up mostly in Los Angeles.
