Well, I don't know the styles, so how can I describe :) I like short tracks - energetic like intro in "Origins", and longer but slow ones. Something like Amaloun Jadid or Common ground. Short & energetic or melodic & long. And I don't mind vocals.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of HOLLENTHON, but "Opus Magnum" is a decent album. Maybe that's because I listened to "Communion" before I discovered HOLLENTHON? Hahaha! You should still listen to it though, it's pretty enjoyable. Oh and by the way, SEPTIC FLESH is currently recording their new album, gonna be out early 2011.

Ya, you're right about that. I listened to 2 of their albums; "Tales of Itheria" and "Eppur Si Muove". I would have to listen to them a couple more times though, but so far so good. I would advise you to check out HOLLENTHON since they are pretty much symphonic, but it's in the style of Death Metal, or check out SEPTIC FLESH, their album "Communion" kicks major ass!

Never listened to them, what are they like?

Just checked out Myrath on myspace. They're style is similar to Amaseffer. I dislike the vocal style used by both bands though. That's why I like Orphaned Land, the vocalist growls. But I don't why you're surprised I like Prog-metal since my top 3 played bands utilise a lot of progressive elements. Lol!

Ya, I got all of them. Idolator barely beats Mozaiq in my eyes, with Mystic Your Heart being the worst of the bunch. I think I hate it actually. :S

I'm not into Cannibal Corpse either. I love Brutal Death Metal though! Stuff you can go crazy to! You can probably say the same about Old School Death Metal. :P I have all of Cryptopsy's albums in my library, but never gave them a single listen! I have so much music that I can't keep up! xD Checked them out on youtube a couple of times before I got their stuff, so I guess I like them lol! But I heard some really bad stuff about their newest album "The Unspoken King". Hahaha! I haven't listened to Blood Stain Child in a long while. One of the first bands I started listening to as well. I'm kinda waiting for a new album from them, but I don't think I like them as much as I did back then.

Hahaha! I think you got it about right! I found out about Sigh last year, pretty good/weird stuff. Only listened to their 2 latest albums though. And OH MY GOD WINTERSUUUUUNNNNN!!!!! Been waiting for "Time" ever since I got into metal (about 4 years ago)!!! Jari Maenppa sure likes to take his time, don't he? Pun (not) intended. :P I also started listening to Diabolical Masquerade a few days ago, Avant Garde Black metal, same as Sigh! Pretty awesome band!

I was talking about all the sub-genres of Death metal. Tech-death, Melo-death, Doom-death, Prog-death, etc... Same goes with Black metal. Lol! I never really listened to Viking metal, but I guess it's pretty close to Folk. Never really had the time to check it out intensively since I'm pretty much into the Death stuff. There are just too many bands out there! xD I also like the Avant Garde/Experimental stuff, but only as long as the lyrics are growled and not sung clean. There are very few clean vocals from very few vocalists that I can actually enjoy listening to.

Equilibrium is one of my favourite bands! I wouldn't miss their new album. I miss their old vocalist though. I'm not that into Ensiferum and I don't like Blind Guardian. I just don't like power metal, the soaring vocals are too much for me to handle. Same goes with traditional heavy metal. Haha! I'm more of a death metal person. Currently getting into black metal as well.

Hi there ! Yeah it was too bad, we were so close! And the ref was terrible, you're right about that! But I think that the best of both won :) Spain was my second favorite of the whole tournament, so I have peace with it haha :)
