I hope you like it! I'm mostly listening to the usual Pitchfork/DiS stuff. Loving albums by Angel Olsen, Blank Realm, Cloud Nothings, Sun Kil Moon and The Twilight Sad at the moment. That Sharon Van Etten album is really good. Also really like new Spoon and Caibou. But I've been a bit stuck in the past this year, I'm hooked on old Songs: Ohia/Magnolia Electric Company stuff.

Probably nothing you haven't already heard. I'm listening to The Spook School (another Fortuna Pop band) a lot and mostly bands who sound like they could be from the 90s like Waxahatchee and The Courtneys. I can't see you loving any of them but it might be worth a go. Oh I've finally got on board with the Raveonettes, did I tell you that?

The first song is ace. Then I was too drunk. I'll revisit it and we can share our findings.

Glitchy and beautiful. Some of his earlier stuff is more minimal and up your street.

I think you would derive a lot of pleasure from the album Univrs by Alva Noto. Give it a try and see what you think.

Yes mate, when you back? I'm on honeymoon until the 2nd September but have a week off before I start Uni! Make it so.

Ah, I've only heard Myth and Lazuli, they're both excellent. The whole album isn't on spotify yet :(.

Great record but I feel his voice had started to decline significantly. Bit raspy and unpleasant. Excited for the new stuff mind.

HAHAHA, funny that The Black Angel's Death Song should be the one to finish you off last night. Classic.

I think it's a bit of a shame. You might be the only person keeping their memory alive and they did show tremendous potential, in places, to be a really good band. Alas, they'll disappear into distant memory with so many above average indie/alternative bands!

I'm always in the market for angry punk music. I'll check them out. Cheers, Babe. I mean, Dave.

Usually just rip them from films or visuals then render them as gifs...this one is from a really ace film called Altered States. I'd offer to do you one but it'll probably be deemed illegal soon the way things are bloody goin', eeeeeee. Also liking the top album list, Disintegration, Geogaddi, Stars of the Lid and Slowdive would probably be there for me too. Lovely stuff.

I've not really listened to it properly yet. I like what I've heard so far, but that's just a couple of songs in the background. It's getting mixed reviews isn't it? Are you seeing them when they play in the Ssummer? Did I tell you we decided on Saturday night for record night? Remember to bring a data stick or something!

Bumble round ours at any time you fancy and we'll drink and Eno it on the cheap. Then formulate a shoddy plan that will probably go wrong for the latter part of the evening.

Couple of ideas for Friday. FIrstly, Wire have sold out but we were thining of at least popping down and saying to a tout we've got X amount of money and that's all we're prepared to give to you. Should that fail, crawl back towards Sandbar with our tails between our legs singing three girl rhumba. Thoughts?

ooof i'll explain in detail later but its nothing earth shattering, just lots of little things going spectacularly badly. in general its all gravy. also the walkmen weren't very good live. Galaxie 500 - I think On Fire is generally considered their best. Also do me a favour and check out Luna they are Dean Wareham's post-Galaxie project with mates from The Chills and The Feelies. Poppier. I love them. Romantica, Penthouse, Bewitched are all really good albums. They also recorded a large number of incredible covers.
