I have actually had a few listens to ''The Last Romance'' in the past, which actually struck me as quite good, but it has never impressed me as much as "Philophobia'' does. How did you like the ''Mad For Sadness'' record, by the way? That performance of ''New Birds'' is just phenomenal, it really emphasizes the post-rocky elements of that track. I really hope I'll have the chance to catch them live some day. And no, I have yet to delve into Middleton's solo work, I'll do that in the near future. Is it any good? I did thoroughly enjoy the few tracks that Aidan Moffat did with Mogwai, though, ''R 2 still into it?'' and ''Now You're Taken''. Both songs have a "Philophobia" feel to it, might be worth checking out if you haven't already.
