Hi Nat, thanks for the note. I really need to sell the pair I'm afraid because it looks like I'm going to have to come down to London to hand them over especially. One other person has first dibs, but if you wanted the pair and could meet early on Tuesday at St Pancras, I'd be happy to give you a shout. Let me know anyway. All the best, Daniel.

Yes I am, thankyou very much :) It was our first gig with a new drummer, so didn't go exactly as I hoped, but we had people come up and say nice things which made me feel a lot better. Did you/do you live in Cambridge? x

It's crazy, isn't it! I've been in the same situation with quite a few people- been to dozens of the same gigs, but never met. Weird...

He's not playing any dates near me at all, pity :( Yes, I'm going to both Spiritualized dates, Ladies & Gents at the Royal Festival Hall was just too tempting not to. Fancy meeting for a coffee when I'm down in London?

Green Man was great thanks, highlights were Gang Gang Dance, The Wooden Shjips, Bon Iver, Dirty Three, Grizzly Bear, She Keeps Bees, Jarvis Cocker and BSP doing the live soundtrack to Man of Aran in the cinema tent. Animal Collective had a very bad day at the office, unfortunately

Hey, me again. at the risk of losing any chance at a ticket in case you're devious enough to buy both or something, there are two tickets to the concert on ebay and they're not profitably priced. I've never used ebay before so that whole user reliability thing would be compromised; have you? because if you have and you only need one ticket, you could buy both; I can buy the second one off you the night of the concert , I'd even pay a little extra for yer efforts if you want.

Sonic Youth was AMAZING! Best gig I've ever been to! Really want to see them again and again and again... I'm afraid I don't know anyone with a spare Deerhunter ticket at the moment, but if I hear of anything I'll let you know!

it was really good. the bass was too high through most of it and distorted which really annoyed me, but other than that it was a fantastic performance. and they played sea song! quite early on, wasn't expecting it!

Hey Nat, I luckily checked my last.fm profile on Sunday and last night caught the Sam Amidon gig you recommended. It was awesome! Thanks so much for the heads up. Great music, and funny too. He was supported by a local band, Meursault (http://www.myspace.com/meursaulta701), who are worth a listen too - they were playing an acoustic set. How're things with you? You still living in London?

hey i dunno if you already saw this but thought you might be interested since you said Department of Eagles was your album of the year: http://onethirtybpm.com/2008/10/21/two-brand-new-department-of-eagles-songs-available-for-free-download/

Yeah, they've kinda been treading water since that great debut album and now he's left, I think this may be their swansong.

Great, it sounds like they really pulled out the stops! At Birmingham they played "A Wooden Horse" but no "Lovely Day Tomorrow". They started with "Drowning" and "Something Wicked". I loved the footage that accompanied "The Great Skua". There were bear hi-jinks too at the end, Noble climbed onto the balcony to hit it with one of the flags. I like Secret Machines, though their new album is a bit on the dull side imo. My deepest condolences to the heron's family :(

haha I was toying with the idea of going to that! In Ear Park took a while to grow on me but now I think it is pretty brilliant. Their performance on pitchfork.tv was absolutely brilliant as well, so I'm pretty sure I will end up going to that. why did you want to get rid of your tickets for of montreal?

haha yeah I'm everywhere. Of Montreal was a last minute decision since I was walking past the box office and it hadn't sold out I thought I might as well. Pretty damn good gig in the end

Werchter was incredible. The line-up must have been the best in Europe. The National and Sigur Ros were indeed amazing. Radiohead are always awesome, but they were a bit iffy that night. My other top picks for that weekend were My Morning Jacket and The Raconteurs, neither of which I had really listened to before but they both blew me away and now I love both. After Werchter and Latitude, Reading was just the worst festival in the world, I don't think I'll ever go back.
