Hi, how are you? :) When I heard Spinnerette first I really felt taken aback. I hated it. I felt like Brody wanted to personally disappoint me with music that was so not the Distillers, haha. I had a hard time listening to it at first but then I took a closer look at the lyrics and understood that this "is" Brody. (She wrote Bury My Heart for the Distillers) And now I'm really in love with their first album...I just hooopppee sooo muuuch they keep on making music! :) What was your first impression?

Hi Meghan! *grin* ... I have been truly slack over the last month ... I haven't been functioning all that well - the whole round of therapists and doctors was really getting me down :) .. all I've been able to do is answer most of the comments people have left - but not all, seeing Danae below reminds me I have to catch up with her and Sada - damn I feel slack :) .. well one thing at a time lol ... I have finally passed the toughest hurdles and I'm now taking estrogen!! yeah ... lovely, lovely female hormones *grin* ... hopefully it will help with the depression as well .. although the medico's still have their hooks in me .. they have to approve each increase in the dosage until I reach the maximum - not to mention approve testosterone blockers and all the rest. You should dye your hair purple. Your hair is light brown, it isn't? Mine is to dark, I would have to discolor the hair and bla bla bla.

Oh, I do, and agree totally :) like you say, I like women in general & crushes! I can get a crush on just a picture, lol. .. But that is not the same as real attraction, that feeling that your soul is being drawn to someone ... and it doesn't even have to be love ... it's also about friendship, comfort and community ...home ... :) The other thing for me - with straight women - there is a sense..... mmmm.... how best to put it? ..... that they are some how defective? :)) ... it's like ... how can they be attracted to men? .... don't they know what they are like? .... It's pretty weird for me ... having always felt female and yet when I was younger being included in the "inner sanctum" of males - the male world that only really shows it's full self when a group of men are together alone ... it is truly ugly ..violent ...savage...no respect for others - especially women ... haha I used to feel like a spy that when discovered would be executed lol..... truly weird *_*

Let me know if you have them, they're: Looking Out, Love Song, Pride and Joy, I Write These Words, A Promise To Keep, How These Days Grow Long, That Year, Same Ol' You, and a few covers like Elton John's Madman Across the Water, which is a favorite of mine. Yeah her new album is due out next year. I really really really can't wait! I love so much of her new material that she's played at shows this year that I know the new album is going to be even better than the two she's released already.

Hmm, that's a tough question. I guess I'd have to go with The Story. I have more favorites on that album. And yeah, I'm pretty sure I have all of her old stuff, I love "Fall". I wish she's re-record it. Have you seen her live? I have. The first time I saw her was at the Fillmore in San Francisco and I immediately had to see her again, so I flew to Tucson the next week and saw her there again. And then again in Chicago. I even flew to Moline, IL to see her open for Sheryl Crow. Hehe. She's the most incredible live performer that I've ever seen!
