I'VE FIGURED IT OUT: Coldplay & Muse are the funhouse mirror versions of Gorillaz/Blur & Radiohead, respectively. Coldplay collabs with everybody but lost their established identity to go Synth Pop, Gorillaz built collaboration into the project and there's no degradation in quality on Damon's end from that Blur to Gorillaz transition at all. Radiohead & Muse started out as classic britpop bands too but got more progressive and experimental- but Muse tapered off of experimentalness in favour of being 2005-2013 Coldplay while Radiohead just kept pushing the boundaries and away from mainstream tastes but still gathered the tastes like Gorillaz. Muse is desperately trying to get mainstream attention with pop shit and simplification but it ain't working- Thom Yorke was doing whatever he wanted and still had a loving fanbase. None of this makes sense: I need to move beyond former Britpop bands.

Mother Mother was very awesome, they came back out for an encore. Apparently it's their biggest show they've ever played, mwah, loved them since 2019 and I was incredibly lucky to see them as a late birthday gift. I plan on seeing them for third fourth fifth & beyond times when I can :)
