How eloquently put.

I just finished my first listen through the entire album and I really really like it. I was a huge fan of the older material and the female vox and cleansing-and-pretty-instead-of-agonizing-and-depressed worried me a bit, but listening to the entire hour or so... it's really something wonderful. Around Amourens Redoxreaktion or so, I got so immersed in all the emotions and the beauty of the music; I think I fell in love with this new album. Right now, Acacia > Livsnekad. :)

I also started with A Journey's End in 1998. It was a Romanian tape licensed from Misanthropy Records. 13 years ago, what times... You had to read a lot of zines and you had to hunt the good bands. In 1996/1997 I remember there were a shitload of useless melodic black bands. Primordial was a jewel back then in the stream of the useless mainstream black metal albums that were released. Although I had experiences with other black metal bands like Bathory, or Burzum before 1998, Primordial (and generally the bands from Misanthropy Records) was one of the bands who made me to accept and later love the black metal vocals. Alan's voice transmits a huge passion, very nice voice. Epic, powerful and still yearning, without becoming a cliche. No problem for the chit-chat, you are welcome.

On my side of things, life is moving along, steady as a ship sailing near coastal shores. Winter is gleaming with the bitterness of frost o'er here as well, and like you, I mind little for I've enjoyed the Winter months since I was born, which was/is among the beginning of Winter itself. However, I cannot say that we've broken any ancient records, to that I cast a smile - truly interesting news my friend. Music, work, studying(personal time, not school), and spending wonderful amounts of quality time with my Valkyrie are thankfully taking my time these days. I'm gladdened to hear of the absence of ill omens on your side. May the Moonlight cast good fortune til the Eternal Dawn begins my friend. :)
