You've changed your name, mf?! Anyway, that's a fine band to plough through their discography. Sadly, I only recall listening to "Coming Up" (I even bought the CD, at the time, it's a timeless classic!). If you want more glam I'd recommend The Ark.

Yup, that's another one you had recommended a while back! The Darkness is the other one, and I noticed that their singer does a guest spot on Steel Panther's "Party All Day (Fuck All Night)."

Thanks, brother, right back at ya! And Slovakia is a beautiful land, especially with those Carpathian Mountains. Would love to visit someday. Europe in general and Eastern Europe & Nordics/Scandinavia specifically.

That's my favourite album of hers! And that song is amazing! Her current phase is metalcore, two albums in a row, so not like her...
Actions
-
PrettyDamnGlam
Makes sense. She did guest vox on a Knocked Loose song off their latest album. Also, metalcore has been making a big return lately, so she wanted to jump on that hype train.
Actions
-
THEKILLINGSPREE
Definitely. I don't approve, but it's what makes sense, currently, business wise. She's done a ton of cameos in other artists' songs. Even with Babymetal (I like Babymetal but i hate the song Poppy is featured in, of course). Really hoping for a change of music genre for the next album, which couldn't come soon enough, as I'm losing interest in her quite fast.

For sure wanna revisit her stuff. And I know she's got a feature on a Knocked Loose song off their latest album, which I've been meaning to check out as well.

I hate her last two albums, but maybe you'll get a kick out of them. She has quite a fun and diversified discography, though. And a body that's... Hmmmm... 🤤

I think I have, but since I don't recall it that much, I may not have enjoyed it. Nonetheless, ironically, I started listening to FFaF at a time when I didn't really enjoy that kind of heavy music, so now that I listen to far heavier stuff, I might give it another spin, thanks for reminding me of it.
Actions
-
THEKILLINGSPREE
Since you're into FFaF, even though they're don't exactly play in the same ballpark, maybe you'll like Reuben (all albums), Hell is for Heroes (first album), InMe (first album). I remember back in the day I'd meet quite a few common people on those artists' shoutboxes around here. Give it a go?
Actions
-
PrettyDamnGlam
I've heard of Reuben, but not the other two (I think). But I'm always open to some more post-hardcore, so thank you!

Sure. Out of those three, though, the only ones that ring a bell are Suede and The Darkness. But I was actually thinking more in the realm of stuff like Whitesnake, Poison, and Dokken. Think you could all of that?

I thought it was cool because my dad is an old-school metalhead (where do you think I got my taste from?) but he occasionally likes the stuff that I find myself and show to him. But you said your mom doesn't like hardcore, right? Well, same with my dad 😂 aside from some exceptions. And okay, now you made add EVEN MORE stuff to my list 😓 Hopefully I get to it all!

THEKILLINGSPREE
Oh! It's in your genes! Nice 😎 Not sure you'd like most of the stuff I mentioned. Anyway, what's been on repeat on your stereo, lately?
Actions
-
PrettyDamnGlam
"Oh! It's in your genes!" It literally is! I remember when my parents first told me that they went to see Deep Purple when my mom was eight months pregnant with me! So rock and roll is coursing through my blood! "Not sure you'd like most of the stuff I mentioned." I actually listened to Tobias Jesso Jr. and enjoyed him. Idk if it's just me, but his voice reminded me of Paul McCartney's. I will check out the others as well. "Anyway, what's been on repeat on your stereo, lately?" My charts speak for themselves: a lot of 80s stuff. Ngl, I barely listen to heavy hardcore as much anymore outside of shows.

I usually listen to music and, consequently, scrobble every single day, so I'd say that, regardless of what Tuesday you're referring to, I may have scrobbled something. Unless shit happened. And shit always happens when you least expect it to.

Now you're hardcore, huh? Nice one, bro! Hope you're enjoying the new Age of Apocalypse. I'm listening to a bit of it, right now, but, again, it's not really my kind of music. I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot more!

Well, I listened to it two times last night and I plan on listening to a lot more, so yeah, you could say I enjoyed it. I hope it also inspires more hardcore bands who want to utilize epic vocals to go ahead and do it.

Still need to dig deeper into them myself, but so far I like what I've heard. I'd say give Possessed by Fire at least one more listen and if it still doesn't resonate, then move on to another album. My favorite track from that one is Fallen Saint, btw.

Hey, friend, I thought you might like this https://open.spotify.com/album/6LjpoXnG6zNe4oQPnVGrkR?si=csGbaFO-QaeIFwvsg4CzDA best Jesu clone, that is, sadly, no more. "Loose Yourself" and "Divided Part 2" are absolute masterpieces (and personal favourites of mine). I actually bought the album (import from Japan, eons ago), probably one of the last CDs I ever bought. He has tons of other stuff, but someone unofficially uploaded only two releases of his to Spotify. Hope you'll like this one.

Sorry for the late reply. I don't recall recommending you a doom metal project 🤔 Anyway, I listened to an album by Age of Apocalypse from start to finish. I enjoyed some of the guitar and drum work, but, overall, it's not really a band for me 😅
