Funny you say that, I'm listening to BRMC now! Gliss toured with them a few years ago, coincidentally. They also just played in Europe with the Horrors.

Papercuts from SF are pretty good. However, my favorite band right now is from Los Angeles and they are called GLISS. You should definitely check them out!

haha, faaail. i haven't used deviant art in agggesss! i didn't even know that account was still up. view: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28948389@N07/ that's all my new-ish stuff. it's a hobby for now... hopefully i can get into an art school soon and get something figured out! once upon a time i used myspace for music, but that's long dead. it's a good way to stay in contact with friends that have moved out of state though... and so i don't blow up my phone bill. anywayzzz, i took a latin course at school for two years. then in high school i didn't dig the new latin teacher, so i took german for a semester. then i moved out of state and they didn't have latin OR german at my new school, so i took spanish, haha. and now, post high school, i don't know anything about any of those languages, haha. my grandma tried teaching me spanish once, but that ended horribly and probably with yelling, i try not to remember. p.s. david bryne in stockholm? wwwwhhhat?

3 languages?! i think my brain would explode and i would mix all the languages together and no one would ever be able to understand me, haha. no, i don't speak spanish... my parents never really talked to me in any language besides english. and schools weren't really teaching languages until grade six or seven. that's one of my goals though, to learn spanish. it will definetely happen before i'm like sixty, haha. swedish bands? uuuuurgh. the hives, the sounds. oh, the knife! i don't know. i'm sure they're more iv'e heard... but i just woke up, so, blah. i probably do need a swedish mix tape. in return, i will... paint you a picture!

wow. "dallas" is a bizarre, over-exaggerated representation of texas, haha. i actually do live in the DFW metroplex, which is two main cities (fort worth + dallas) and every smaller division in between. usually west texas is where you'll find all the cowboys. but i'm located more in the central/northern part of texas. my family is from torrejon, but have been living here since like.... the 70's? it's been awhile. my grandmother has a really thick euro/"i-sound-really-pissed-off-when-i-speak-but-this-is-just-the-way-i-talk" accent. anyhow. accents seem to vary from state to state, rather than a single accent for the people living in the country. i'm sure it's like that outside of america. but anyhow - i don't really know anything about sweden, except that produce some really good bands!

another really good band to see live is crystal castles. perhaps they're a little overplayed now, but whatevs. i saw them around this time last year with health and i can't even describe how intense it was. that was probably the best show i've ever attended. as for the accent... um, i say "y'all" but that's probably as far as my accent goes. in fact, most of my family is from spain. so i wasn't really like raised having a southern accent. i don't even own cowboy boots! i wish i did though. how's yours?

scarlett johanson - haha. i watched a video of gang gang dance at a gallery or something of the sort in new york. they were performing behind a screen and had the whole crazy lighting/weird images setup. it was neat... but i really liked just seeing them perform up close. they all participate in making it a really a good show, especially the singer. she bangs on all these drums and gets really into it - her eyes were even rolling in the back of her head. intense! p.s. - check out this song, "nightly cares" by mum. you might've heard it - i just discovered it, it's amazing!
