Actually I didn't, i just forgot to un-enroll from the event :p During the last 5-6 years I've been living in the country, 120-130km (80miles) away from Athens(where all the concerts happen), so my access to all these events is rather limited compared to some years ago. I add most of them as a "constant reminder", a way to push myself to get my ass off my couch and drive to the capital to see some bands I love. One event I did go to though, and was really blown away by both bands participating was a month ago: Year of no Light & Altar of Plagues. Year of no Light are absolutely CRUSHING live, don't miss em if they play near you!!

Yeah I downloaded it. I enjoyed it a little. Like you said, I don't go back to that as much as their earlier records. Probably a 2.5 out of 5.

No problem man. You will not be disappointed with the Mt. Rushmore of Funk. As for Sly & The Family Stone, my starters albums I would recommend would be Stand!, There's a Riot Goin' On and Fresh. Another group you should check out is The Ohio Players. Some of the funkiest hits, the tightest horns and the best album covers ever in my opinion.

Thanks for the love. Don't worry man, I got you covered because I'm a funk head with a passion. For a starters kit, you can begin with what I call the Mt. Rushmore a funk, which is James Brown, Sly & The Family Stone and P-Funk. Which I see you got Funkadelic already, so you have to really get into George Clinton's other group Parliament. Over the course of time, I will definitely get back with you with more funk recommendations for your listening pleasure. P.S. I dig that Carlton Banks pic, I keep picturing the Tom Jones dance in my head.

Carlton. Digging it. As long as you make yours that, I'll make mine Reginald Veljohnson. Thanks for the inspiration.

Ah well I can't remember. But either way...Yeah the new album is good. It's a nice fun listen for sure. But it definitely doesn't have that epicness to it that previous releases had. The Sparrow has that. I'm very interested to see where they would go from here. The next album could be a whole bunch of things at this point.
