You know what? I think I really need to take a long, deep, hard look at myself and ask some serious questions. Have I become nothing more than just a pathetic innuendo merchant? Am I only good for peddling impotent, easy smut, like some washed up and jaded performer at the end of a pier in Blackpool? Sigh... Meanwhile... LONG, DEEP 'N' HARD!! PHWOOOORRR!!! ;-)

There's a little package for you on my iDisk now, hope you enjoy. I included some Ligeti, he's my favourite from that group of composers. Oh and do feel free to change those tags if you like ;-)

No haven't seen the video yet I'll check it out-yes please add Start Breaking My Heart to my list-(by some twist of fate I got Up In Flames when it came out-the company I work for supplied the photography!) It's interesting how Manitoba/Caribou's music has evolved!

Do you have/need Milk Of Human Kindness the previous album by Caribou? It's very good too!

Oh yes. Shall I send you some? - there might well be some crossover appeal between classical avant-garde and a lot of what you enjoy. You get challenging and beautiful in equal measure.

Ah if only I was still scrobbling directly from work. I've just amused everyone rather a lot with my segue from Shirley Bassey to the Sex Pistols.

I know! I mean I know OF them, but never actually checked out their music. So thanks!

Yeah, but fuck, I missed it because of school and timing. Ah well, there's always next year! Hope all is well.

Hey have you got the 'special' version that Puds was talking about? In the one I saw there was trunk but no junk ;-)

Crumbs! I mean, why would you HATE a movie because of one flaccid Irish winkie? Unless it's a bit more complex than that, I suppose. And when I bought '...Western Freeway' I remember that lovely WOAH! I've heard THAT wonky ice cream van before! feeling. Murphy's willy is FAR from the only reason I love that film. I could go on about it at length (hur-hur...! Oh dear.)

btw, if you fear my weeklies NOW, you might like to know that they don't yet include the 12 hours or so of music I listened to on Friday, so I suggest you check back after the next update ;-P

Your AEP really is racing up, anyone would think you were deliberately not listening to your favourite music ;-) Yeah, I love Things I Lost In The Fire, thanks, that was my third listen today. Moving on to get to know The Great Destroyer properly next. I already got obsessed with 'Cue The Strings' on my first listen when those albums came my way...

Heh, well it's not a competition. Or is it? ;-) I guess I use party shuffle more than you maybe? Mind you, next week will probably be even more ridiculous, that dancehall mix CD I just had on had 79 tracks of around a minute each, not too many repeated artists :D

I think I recently decided that 4.71 was too high an AEP to maintain...especially because m83 released a new album. I reckon it's going to plummet in the coming months....probably stabilizing at around 4.5, and then moving upward from there. It's true that my AEP changes my listening habits, but it keeps me from listening to the same crap over and over again. Well. Anyway. You know how it is.

I'm very proud of you! Was worried for a minute you might have made them all listen to Dianogah and Mogwai ;-)

Good golly Brad - your mix sounds, dare I say it, very gay! Beautiful avatar there...

Hi Brad! Hope the party went with a swing. Yesterday saw me making onion tartlets and sweet potato tapas for Mimey's bash, which culminated in some very drunken PS2 karaoke. Hooray!

No more scrobbling from me for a few days... after work today I'm off to stay with Mimey for the weekend... You got anything good planned?

I am relying on delicious nicotine gum to get me through the cravings... and reminding myself that I REALLY can't afford to spend over five quid a day on ciggies. And, of course, distracting myself constantly with the finest music known to humanity. :)

Heh, I don't have SUBJECTS! :) But if I did, they might be staying away in case I was grouchy, having given up smoking today. Grr!

Go on, ask him who his top neighbour is! It might turn out to be rather similar to what you were fantasising about yesterday...
