My Consequences finally arrived in the mail a few days ago. I'm enjoying relistening, I still think it's not as good as Thin Air, but I also think that Thin Air is simply one of his best (and judging by your charts, you agree with me).

I'd say it's more Clutch+Thin Air. My disc still hasn't arrived yet though, I'm listening to some MP3s from online. It's definintely good and wholesome, that I can say right away.

I wasn't so impressed as you. It's a good listen, certainly, pleasant, and Ian Anderson is as always a great and charismatic storyteller, but the music really wasn't that interesting.

Anyway, I wanted to ask when exactly you got your copy of Pno Gtr Vox Box, because I still haven't gotten mine and it would have arrived in Russia about the same time as Poland. The thing is, they keep the package for a month at the post office before returning it, and they don't have anything for me now. So if it could have arrived a month ago, that's bad =(

I commented on your YouTube video with your guinea pig, on which I stumbled through VdGG videos. Where can I get his albums? I've ordered The Climber and Orfeas, they're due to arrive in January, but the rest... Dome of Discovery and Full English are available on iTunes, but I'm still waiting for a friend of mine from USA to get them for me.

And happy holidays to you and your guinea pig too! :) By the way, have you heard anything of Chris Judge Smith's? I acquired Curly's Airships a while ago and really enjoyed it.

Okay, now I've heard it. It's very good! Hammill really picked some great performances. You know, if you watch bootleg videos on youtube, some of his latest performances aren't up to par, sometimes he lacks the breath, sometimes he mixes some things up, but sometimes, of course, it's still amazing. And he's done a beautiful job of picking the right ones. Very emotional, tense and keen despite the age, although relative to his young performances you can hear the age of course. It's like an official version of Skeletons of Songs and I guess his discography lacked a live album like this (and we know how he loves to do something he hasn't done yet). I don't think it will be very appealing for non-fans, but no surprise there :) Of course, if he does another live in the future, though this is great, I hope he has some sort of backing musician(s).

Nobody's uploaded it online yet. You know, the irony is I actually wanted to pre-order it legally for once, but they rejected my credit card for some reason =\

Faktycznie:) Nie często zdarza mi się takie porównanie, nawet moje odskoki w inne style niż prog nie przeszkodziły statystykom, bardzo jestem rad. Mam nadzieję, że mimo młodego wieku znajdziesz również coś inspirującego w moich podróżach muzycznych. Możesz się z resztą zorientować, że właśnie zainspirowany jednym z Twoich filmików, wczoraj jedną taką podróż w nieznane odbyłem i muszę przyznać, że była po prostu fantastyczna! Tyle jeszcze nie odkrytych obszarów przed nami... Już planuję kolejną podróż;) Pozdrawiam serdecznie! Życzę gorących wrażeń:)

Yes, I heard them too, Your Time Starts Now, Highly Strung and Snake Oil. And I like what I heard! Your Time Starts Now is like the melancholy tracks on Trisector - I really like them. Highly Strung is fun, with the trademark VdGG sharp changes (when he starts singing "I'm highly strung) - the first part gives a feeling of frustration and it's followed by the release, the blowing out the steam. It's somewhat simplistic, but pretty catchy. Snake Oil has such a classic Peter Hammill text :) Teacher knows best... Let's put the teacher to the test! And of course more contrasting parts with the softer and hard-hitting segments. Great track too. Looking very forward to hearing this on the album!

Oh, I just thought you'd comment, it's an impressive performance, although I am pretty excitable when I see something for the first time :) I think that's the only video recording of (In The) Black Room live, right?
