I sometimes think that the accident and my sports injuries were a blessing in disguise because I had to realize the value of my intellect as well as my lack of humility. I am so sorry about your father, and your inability to pursue your dreams. My father died of cancer less than a year after he retired (1 month before my 25th birthday). You sound like an amazing woman, and your husband must be a wonderful man to have captured the heart of one such as you. Your beauty is apparent from your picture, but your words show the loveliness that lies within as well. Vodka and lemons can make an excellent Limoncello!!! Oh... BTW .... that's my dog Buddy (Cairn Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier mix) and he is a true blessing. I'll admit, he is an attention whore, but I love him to death. He has many, many fans around the neighborhood, and gets complements on his cuteness everywhere we go. Thank you for the kind words.

I am sorry for your pain. I was in a car wreck 3 days before high school graduation that virtually ended my chance at career in athletics (although I played baseball for 4 years in college, but I was no longer the 'superstar' I once was). I have a right knee with a torn ACL and no medial cartilage, a breastbone that was fractured and never completely healed properly, and two arthtritic hips as a result of thw wreck (and other injuries from my youthful activities). Cortisone injections are commonplace for me as well. I hope you rest and take care of yourself (I'm sure your husband will take care of you also) ..... and don't do any more stupid things!!! Doctor's orders!

I'm sure you would have been the 'hit of the party' if you could have attended. i have several friends from Scotland. I found your profile because of Phil, and disovered you listen a lot to Peter Gabriel, Genesis, and U2 too -- just like me (at least you'll notice our similar taste when it comes to these artists if you look at my overall statistics). You are not the only one that didn't listen to Calling All Stations, and you really aren't missing anything!

Paul Carrack is a talented artist and some of his work with Squeeze was quite good, but I'm with you about Genesis ....just not worth listening to without Peter or Phil. Hope you the Calvins are well.

I meant to say that you couldn't forget that it was Ray Wilson singing on that album. Late at night and my fingers were not cooperating with my brain.

You can't forget the album, Calling All Stations with Ray Wilson (though most people have , or should, with good reason). Phil never envisioned himself as the singer, but once Peter left, he reluctantly (at first) stepped in and a new and more popular Genesis emerged, and from there, Phil went on to become an incredible artist, and his ballads unmatched. Your discerning musical taste is truly impressive!!

Pepper .... I thought that I was a huge Genesis fan, but I can't compare to you! You are amazing!
